Bottle, vintage 2010. Pours clear mahogany with a large, frothy off-white head, long retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (cookie, toast, caramel, biscuit), heavy hops (citrus, pine, earthy, floral), and average esters (apple/pear) with notes of apricot and alcohol. Flavor is moderate malt with heavy hop flavor and moderate bitterness, somewhat sweet with biting alcohol spiciness. Full body, medium warmth and carbonation with a sweet texture and dry finish.

Dogbrick (12633) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUL 13, 2010
Sample at the 2nd Annual Olde Worthington Beer Festival on 7/10/2010. This beer is a clear amber color with a thin off-white soap-sudsy head that evaporates steadily. Stringy lacing. Citrusy hops and malt in the nose. Medium body with flavors of citrus, piney hops and sweet malt. The finish is hoppy with a malty base that lingers awhile. Decent beer all around.

from Mondial de la Bire, Strasbourg - pours a cloudy dark reddish-amber colour with a modest head retention; a fair hoppy aroma with notes of quince and raspberries marmalade; full-bodied and solidly bitter; quite dry and with a long hoppy aftertaste with notes of red fruits, slightly sticky and astringent - straightforward

On tap, a bit watery for a DIPA, it didnt have that succulent bitter mouthfeel, it wasnt super sweet but neither the malt nor the hops stood out really.

Bottle at Mondiale 2010. Hop aromas, emminating from very golden coloured body with a white hjead and lace rings. You can see the carbonation bubbles. Good piney hops and creamy malts, hits the bullseye for the style. But you can detect the a.b.v. Bit above average mouthfeel.
