COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A robust renovation of the India Pale Ale. Assertive dry-hoppying provides an aromatic telltale nose, indicative of the bitter symphony to follow. Bold hop character with lively grapefruit and citrus notes. 20° Plato, Alc. 9.4% by Vol.

12oz bottle. Purchased while travelling. Excellent DIPA! Nice creamy head and great flavor without an overwhelming alcohol taste despite the high abv. Up there with some of my favorites like Pliny or Dogfish 90. Well done.

an orange color poor, with a small head. has a pine aroma with a hint of citrus. Has a strong malt and bready flavor which subdues the hop bitterness

Draft at Jerry’s. Amber with big, foamy beige head / Nose of brown sugar, dry hops, and citrus / Medium body, sweet & chewy, with big malts eclipsing the biting hops on the slightly hot finish / Flavors of brown sugar, cut pine, grapefruit, chalk, and violets / A big, malty 2ipa. Very nice.

22 oz’er ... A nice bright orange-red beer with a sticky top. The aroma is bright and citrusy and thick, but this drinks with a surprising mellowness, while still delivering a big hop component over a solid malt base. Delicious! (#3579, 7/10/2009)

Amber-colored, clear with a great head that clings to the glass. Citrus hops, some pine and herbal aromas, fruity esters a little pineapple. The palate is smooth and slick, lasting finish. Very drinkable. The flavor is filled with juicy hops, starting soft, but finishing dry and assertive. A really nice malt backbone to balance. This is a fantastic DIPA. Great balance. Hop-head’s delight.

Great aroma and appearance, taste is near perfect but has a bit of a weird aftertaste.

UPDATED: DEC 15, 2011 Pours a clear golden amber with a thick sponge off white head. Aroma is quite hoppy. Flavor is also, but smooth and not bitter. Slight taste of roasted malts.

Pours barely translucent dark honey golden-brown with a thin buff head. Hoppy aroma had a strong citrus note and a malty underpinning. Strongly hoppy flavor has firm fruity notes, cotrus and apple, plus malty and caramel hints. Fairly firm texture is rather fizzy. Put on yer Imperial hat!

Flarra.
