Pours orange/brown with a nice off white head. Aroma is big citrusy, spicy hop. Flavor is full of citrusy, resiny hop with a nice bitter finish. Very good. bhensonb (15208) - Woodland, California, USA - JAN 19, 2010
Bomber from Archer Liquors. Pours amber copper with a foamy off-white head. Lots of resin aroma hop. Medium plus body with mild carbonation. Flavor is lots of (mostly resin?) hop over caramel. But the effect is tremendous. Finishes well balanced. Quite tasty. Juancho (239) - Georgia, USA - MAY 28, 2010
Draught at Churchkey. Pours hazy, deep copper toned, aromas of citrus and resin hit you and draw you in. Wonderful floral, citrus, grapefruit juice, malt backbone, very deftly balances the heavy hops. Hides the alcohol very well, could easily drink several of these tooo quickly !
Enjoy. jmagnus87 (2912) - Rockford, Illinois, USA - MAY 12, 2011
From a 220z bottle from Pick’s Liquors poured into a snifter. Dark frothy white head that leaves very nice lacing. The beer is dark rusty orange in color. The aroma is floral and grassy hops and sweet malt. Taste is extremely bitter. Medium bodied and thick textured, it has average carbonation and a long bitter finish. Overall, this beer is awesome. At 7 bucks a bottle, I’ll definitely be buying it again! BeerandBlues2 (13323) - Escondido, California, USA - MAY 29, 2011
Bottle, vintage 2010. Pours clear mahogany with a large, frothy off-white head, long retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (cookie, toast, caramel, biscuit), heavy hops (citrus, pine, earthy, floral), and average esters (apple/pear) with notes of apricot and alcohol. Flavor is moderate malt with heavy hop flavor and moderate bitterness, somewhat sweet with biting alcohol spiciness. Full body, medium warmth and carbonation with a sweet texture and dry finish.

This beer is strong but not overbearing. Has a nice balance of malt and piny hops. The beer fizzes nicely. One of the better DIPA zizzybalubba (1869) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - JAN 5, 2012
12 oz. bottle from Total Wine in Chesapeake, VA. Expected dark orange pour with a frothy off-white head. Aroma of grapefruit rind, pineapple, and light pine and grass. Assertive hop bitterness with more pine than the aroma leads you to believe but with a nice balance of flavors that does not overwhelm the palate. From what I recall of Mad Hatter this is the better beer. A well done DIPA. boozedude (2228) - Des Moines, Iowa, USA - APR 13, 2012
Dark brown pour.. Slight white head... Nutty caramel hints for aroma..taste is very well balaced pine and bit of caramel..love it,, amg800 (237) - Ada, Michigan, USA - JUN 20, 2012
Pours very cloudy orangish amber.
Aroma is strong citrus and sappy.
Flavor is biter, with a very slight malty sweetness.
Palate is full, sticky, low carbonation, like resin. jimhilt (2610) - Bow, New Hampshire, USA - JAN 16, 2016
Pours a two finger white head that fades slowly leaving a good lace. Hazy amber color. Good carbonation and light-medium bodied. Sweet pine hop nose and flavor is caramel first then light pine hops. Higher ABV is hidden. Decent DIPA. $3.29 for a 12oz bottle from Julio’s Liquors Westborough, Ma.
