El Segundo has no idea what he is talking about. Maybe his bottle got a bit to shaken on its way to Califoria. This beer is fantastic. A very flavorful porteresque brown.

Deep brown, little head. Sweet deep aroma, complex malty with hint of alcohol (port). Taste is roasty, sweet malty, with a pleasant hint of alcohol. Good body that finishes malty bitter. Very nice beer!

Good, very good. A thick brown ale almost tastes like a porter. P.S. I dig the purple label too. It truly is ’Art in Fermented Form’.

Funk introduced me to this unbelievable beverage and call me impressed. It is smooth from start to finish with a variety of chocolatety-alish overtones finished with just the right amount of hops. DELICIOUS!

Lindsay sums it up with the quote. ’I’ve been waiting my whole life for this.’ Nice aftertaste. Lots of Flavor. One of my favorite american brown ales

This was damn good. Has a chocolaty taste with a hint of coffee. I was so impressed I filled my growler up with it.

RateBeer Summer (Toronto) ’02: Pours a medium brown color, really big malty aroma that has a lot going on. Unfortunately doesn’t taste as good (but with a long robust aftertaste), but still top notch.

Deep amber-brown colour with a nice tan head. Nutty/chocolatey, lightly roasted aroma. The flavour is rich and bitter with notes of chocolate and hops. This is definitely one of New Hollands better offerings.
