Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate to heavy bittersweet flavor with a moderate to heavy bittersweet finish of medium to long duration. Very good brew. Bomber from Wine Warehouse, Charlottesville. Pours a hazy amber color with a thin frothy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of citrus hops, some herbal notes, and a strong caramel presence. The taste is caramel malts, citrus hops. Thin bodied, simplistic, amateur-ish almost. Meh. crossovert (13080) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 30, 2014

22oz bottle, 2012 vintage. How did I let an IPA sit on a shelf this long ... my bad. Being a hophead, I tend to drink my hoppy beers right away, this one got mixed up ...but wasn’t undrinkable. That really doesn’t say much ...

Bomber from Blue Dog Lansdale. Pours turbid deep coppery orangy with frothy 1-finger off-white head. Nose is bready caramel malt, oramge marmaladey fruit, piney hops. Tastes piney, resiny, very bitter and IBU-heavy in the alpha acid department, with finishing heavy bitterness, but mayhaps a bit unbalanced, but still delicious. Tap at Happy Gnome. Clear golden amber pour with a white clingy head. Citrus aroma, but the taste is very soft. Very sessionable but not all that interesting.
