Hazy amber beer, small cream coloured head. A little crispy and dry. Bitter start! Bitter brett and bitter orange. This bitterness sits on a vanilla oak background. Finishes crisp with more bitterness. hangs together fine but easily the most bitter oak aged IPA Ive had.

Draft at Paradiso Dupont. Pale golden color, white edge head. Aroma of bourbon. Taste of bourbon. The oak overwhelms this one. Im not sure that aging an IPA is a good idea anyway, in oak or anything else. But any beer that spends too long in oak, or is oak or bourbon flavored in some other way, risks overshadowing the characteristics of the beer. IMHO.
