COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer has a golden colored body with a creamy white head. Its slightly sweet malt flavor makes up the base and offers a supporting role to the refreshing hop profile. Cascade hops provide a floral, citrus and almost fruity character to this well balanced easy drinking ale. Back by popular demand, “Paleooza” is an old favorite and an early original in our portfolio of great beers! 14°

Bottle: Turbid cascading of orange & amber from top to bottom with a sizable, off-white & eggshell tinted cap that plumes up nicely, lasts for a while, & leaves some chunky lacing behind. Nose is total Cascade, no mistaking it here. Mild grapefruit, citrus peel, light white pepper spice, floral hoppage, & moderately herbaceous tones. Malt lends a backbone of light caramel & toasted bread. Not much sweetness, though. Strangely enough, malts are the first thing I notice when taking a sip. Light, toasty caramel, & a huge blanket of slightly sweet bread & grains. Hops come out with bitter grapefruit rind, faint citrus pith, a touch of juiciness, but definitely more bitter than sweet. Finish of herbal spice, white pepper, & ashy dryness from the hops. Lightly sticky body, more than I’d like for a pale ale, anyway. Decent pale ale, nothing crazy.

On tap. Pours a clear gold with a white head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has lots of grassy hops and citrus with a bit of light grain backing. Flavor has a reserved citrus hops with a bit of grass and a light grain backbone.

PorterPounder (8068) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - AUG 23, 2014
Warner Robins, Ga. - Lazy Dog Growler - 12 oz bottle. Slightly hazy medium golden pour, foamy white head - a whole lot of it - the bottle spewed. Light spruce aroma, a hint of canned fruit cocktail. Flavor is standard pale ale, a slight bot of citrus bitterness, a touch of mint, just a wee bit of nectarine fruitiness. Thick enough mouthfeel. Overall, decent.

Benzai (15711) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - AUG 18, 2014
Sampled @ GBBF. Bottle shared. Hazy golden color, small white head. Aroma is nicely malty with a touch of resin and pine. Taste malts, hops, pine, resin, fruitiness of pineapple and tropical fruits, nicely bitter. Medium body and carbonation. Lovely.

Shag (3026) - Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA - AUG 16, 2014
A cloudy yellow color with a white head. The aroma is sour lemons. The flavor is somewhat bitter with mostly lemons and a bit of weird yeasty funk. The bottle is not old we just got them in town a few weeks ago. Overall this is more sour than bitter which I dont like in APAs. Overall average.

Draft. Extremely basic but sufficiently-enough hopped pale ale. Classic cascade profile. Cruashable.
