Black pour, mahogany pinstriping when illuminated beneath a short, fading, mostly tight khaki head which creates a solid ring and pair of short peninsulas of lace

Aromas and flavors of coffee infused vanilla, treacle and caramel with biscuit accents on a medium body with a dense character cut with plenty of lively carbonation leading to smoke, damp wood and subtle soy sauce with nuances of slightly wonky umami - flash of creamed corn - chocolate in the finish and residual, ultimately a welcome heavy feel and richness considering the alc %

12 oz bottle code K184 09:43 served at 45º into 14.7 oz Zwiesel Cognac snifter

Dan’s Bachelor Party Extended Weekend Rating #63 of 90. On tap at New Holland in Holland, MI. Pours black/brown with ruby edges. Roasted malts and oatmeal are evident, and it is semi-smooth in taste. One of their better offerings.

Strong oatmeal aroma and amber black pour leads to a strong coffee chocolate taste and pleasant mouthfeel. An easy drinking stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Chocolate and oat flavors and aromas, blended with hints of coffee, caramel and an aftertaste of cookies. An easy to drink stout, though a bit too light bodied.

HomeBrewHawk (464) - De Soto, Kansas, USA - MAR 23, 2008
12oz. bottle served in a shaker pint. Poured a deep brown with a slight tan head. Molasses/burnt sugar in the aroma. Creamy mouthfeel. Lots of chocolate malt. Really long dry coffee finish. Maybe a little thin. Pretty easy drinking. Just enough hops to balance malt. Decent brew.

Pours dark with a brownish hue and a medium brown head. Has a nice roasted malt aroma with a rich and silky chocolate taste. Kind of mild for an oatmeal stout but sometimes that’s a good thing.

Taste 2/9 Bottle. Looks: Black and opaque with a nice foam. Aroma: Roasted and toasted malt in the from of coffee and chocolate. Sweetness and freshness. Taste: Smooth mouthfeel from the oatmeal with a balance from the acidity. A little simple but very drinkable for a fan of dark roasts.
