COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This stout is sheer beer poetry. Let it warm to about 45 F and pour it into a glass to fully experience its rich, roasty flavors and hints of coffee and chocolate. One glass and youll agree: The Poet is truly a rich, creamy brew of epic proportions.

Pours dark brown almost black. A small beige head. Coffee notes in the nose. Great stout taste, a little sweet and citrusy, with a great roasted finish.

This beer has the aroma of smoke and coffee. This beer fills the glass with a black liquid that sits under a thick almond colored head. The taste is introduced by a combination of smoke and roasted nuts as the solution flows through the mouth a coffee taste can be picked up. This beer is moderately thick and mildly carbonated that leaves a nice taste lingering on the palate.

Pours nice deep dark in color but the tan head dissapeers quickly. has the coffee hint and malty aromas but the mouth feel is very weak for this style has a sweet then bitter after note. not one of my favorites.

I know this is supposed to be an oatmeal stout, but it reminds me more of the porters that Ive become fond of. Great malty aroma, beautiful dark pour, and just a wonderful flavor and taste profile. Ive only had 2 of these, but Im going to need to drink it side by side with my current favorites and re-rate them against each other, because this one could tie or better some of them.

Look: pours black. Little light shines through in the edges. Tan head. Smell: burnt coffee. Chocolate. Roasted malts. Light smokiness. Taste: roasted malts. Burnt coffee. Chocolate. Feel: smooth creamy mouth feel. Medium carbonation. Overall: nice beer. Too much coffee for me. But like the chocolate flavors. First drank: home 1/7/15 Vintage: 2014

The only thing missing from this Sweet Stout is head! I poured three from a bottle and not a single one had head. There was nice lacing though. Aroma is great -- malt and cocoa; flavor matches and has a little coffee too. If there were a light brown or tan head this might be my top-rated stout.

Looks like a stout should. Creamy. Roasted malt, coffee, chocolate. Drink this.

Deep black pour with a thick creamy white head. The nose is really lovely. Nice oaty aroma with a deep rich chocolatey base. Has a really complex and lovely base. Toasted grain, milk chocolate, softly herbal. Unctuous and rich. Really delicious.

Bottled. Pours dark black with a medium tan head. Aromas of roasted malt, toast and coffee. Smells better than it tastes. Chocolate and roasted malt. I was expecting more sweetness with an oatmeal stout. Finishes with a burnt toastiness. decent
