Our stout is a strong, full-bodied chocolate stout, brewed with real belgian dark chocolate and dark malt, with just enough hop character to balance the sweetness.

12oz bottle. Pours dark brown with a beige head that quickly fades to a ring. Aroma is caramel, dark chocolate, a hint of raisin, a hint of coffee. Flavor is chocolate, date. Some coffee bitterness in the finish. Overall, a touch thin.

Tap into a shaker showing black but translucent rims. The nose shows deeply roasted coffee-style malts. The palate is light bodied and medium carbonated; much more akin to a porter than a stout. Flavors of lightly roasted malts giving flavors of lightly roasted coffee and a surprising milk chocolate-like background. The finish is lightly bitter, very much close to a latte.

on tap at Yard House in Moorestown Mall - smells, looks and tastes like a good stout. Nice burnt finish with a bit of chocolate. Very good.

(Bottle). Compliments of Mike. Nice aroma of cocoa, light malt and some coffee. The flavor is similar. Very well done and crafted by this notable up-and-coming New Jersey Brewer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a dark brown with a foamy tan head. Smells of chocolate, nuts. Taste is sweet and moderately bitter - chocolate, roasty, a bit nutty - robust and light.

APPEARANCE - black, as expected. NOSE - lightest roastiness and a touch of coffee. Improves substantially as it warms up - more than most. FLAVOR - as it approaches arena temperature, the little coffee and roasty notes that it has to offer start to show themselves. NOTES - good textbook stout.

Bottle in Comedy Club in Atlantic City. Beautifully intense darkness. Chocolate aroma and amazing bitterness. Perfect.

demannu (451) - New Jersey, USA - APR 21, 2015
Mild chocolate aroma. Dark brown/black color with minimal head and no lacing. Light somewhat slick mouth feel. On the sweet side. Not much chocolate coming through. Getting more mild fruit flavor than typical stout flavors. Not all that good overall.

Purchased from Bottle King in Hackettstown, NJ. Drank out of a twelve ounce bottle. Aromas of chocolate and malts. Tastes of chocolate and raisens. Not a huge fan.
