Dark amber colour. Kind of fruity, woody aroma (mango, black currant). Light hops, fruitiness, bit of caramel all sort of thrown into one. Not really IPA, and a bit scattered as a beer overall. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - JUL 2, 2006
(12oz bottle, thanks SpringsLicker) Cloudy amber body topped by a big, rocky beige head. Aroma is medium sweet, apricot, orange rind, some lemon Pledge. Taste is medium sweet, caramel/bread, grapefruit/lemon/pine, apricot, some wood. Moderately bitter. Effervescent light-medium body, moderate acidity. Draught at 11th Southern Brewers Festival in Chattanooga. Pours copper with ruby hints and a tall creamy off-white head. Floral fruit citrus hop with pine character with yeast and malt (grain) aromas. Rind heavily hopped bitterness to start with a sour grapefruit aftertaste. Faint metallic notes and a clean watery medium bodied brew. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - DEC 22, 2005
(Bottle, courtesy of Sledge Jr) Pours an amber body with crazy cabonation that creates a large rocky off-white head that seems to never diminish. Aroma of citrus, grass, and pine. Flavor of toasted (somewhat burnt) malt and mild hops with a watery mouthfeel. hopdog (12673) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 18, 2005
12oz bottle acquired in trade with Suttree (thanks!). Poured a medium and cloudy amber color with a huge (6 finger) off white head. Aromas of oranges and on the fruity and spicy side. Tastes of spices and citrus. Thinner body with a medium bitter finish. Not too much going on but not a bad beer.

Bottle. Cherry-rapsberry aroma with hint of hops. Slightly cloudy copper color with small head. Moderate hops bitter flavor with a light sweet berry finish. Tasty - not extremely hoppy, which I like as I don’t enjoy the breweries that overload on the hops as much. kp (10882) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - SEP 1, 2007

hazy orange, whispy white head, light floral hop aroma on dry malt, tart tangy malt flavor, nice bitter finish,

Thanks to Suttree for this. This one is way underrated. I may be partial to IPAs, but this beer is well above average. Pours hazy deep copper with a big white head and lace all the way down to its ass. Aroma of big resiny hops, floral esters, and slight band-aid. Tastes hoppy, with resiny elements and a bitter quality as it warms. Not as complex or balanced as other IPAs I’ve had, but this one shouldn’t be taking it up the ass as bad as it is. Bottled. Poured a hazy, medium amber with a short-lived cap of beige head. Aroma picked up citrusy hops and some caramel, but nothing too fresh. Lighter-bodied with a good deal of carbonation and a rather aggressively-bitter finish. Tacky at the back end with caramel and a little lemon. Spiciness complemented the caramel and citrus in the flavor rather well... but the flavors didn’t really pop. Not bad. CaptainCougar (7133) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - DEC 27, 2005
This was one of the apparently better bottles of the newer batch: Pours a transparent effervescent copper with a thick, pillowy off-white head. Piney, earthy hoppy aroma has some mild toasty caramel malt. Starts light and with lots of earthy bitterness and some soapy character before a dry, crisp finish. An average IPA, but this can be very hit or miss.
