COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
To call C-Note very hoppy would be an understatement. Its brewed with the seven "C" hops (Crystal, Cluster, Cascade, Chinook, Centennial, Columbus and Challenger) and pushes the bitterness limit to 100 International Bitterness Units.

Cask at Horse Brass Pub, Portland, Oregon. A hazy amber beer with a thin bubbly off-white head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of hops and grass. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of grass, leading to a very bitter finish.

Draught @ the brewpub. Pours a clear amber color with a small off-white head. Has a malty very hoppy pine aroma with hints of grapefruit. Malty hoppy bitter pine and grapefruit flavor. Sweetish malty very hoppy bitter pine finish with a long bitter aftertaste.

Being also sold at Walmart shouldnt be a good sign... Beautiful bright amber color, red copper, with medium sized head. The enthusiasm for this beer, given by name and appearance, quickly deflates; its a very ordinary beer, almost more Pale Ale or Amber Ale than India, with dryish mouthfeel, simple caramel profile, strong bitterness, and serious lack of hop quality.
Clean beer, just not exciting.

Tap at Fifth Quadrant (NOL) - 07/11/12. Lightly hazed mid amber with a decent sized off white head. Good lacing ensues. Nose comprises pale malts, light floral notes, hops, touch of pine. Tastes piney, hoppy, light grapefruit, touch of minerals. Medium bodied with soft carbonation, smooth on the palate, bitter finish. Ok pale - would reccomend.

On tap at New/Old Lompoc on NW 23rd Avenue, Portland. Hazy copper colour, lasting off white head. Sweet sherbert hop aroma. Rose petal fruit in mouth. Malt is ok. But is then overtaken by this huge mix of sherberty sweet hop. Not astringent nor overly bitter, but just extreme sherbert. Some grapefruit. Finish starts as beer begins. Just way too hoppy. Nice rose petal and grapefruit though.

Cloudy amber. Woody, grapefruity, leafy aroma. Moderate bitterness. Lots of toasty, caramelly malts and chewy, woody hops. Not bad, but a bit too much crystal malt for my liking.

Sampled on tap at SIB, pours hazy orange. Aroma and flavour of hops, lemon / orange zest and caramel malts. Very nice.

Bottle from Liquid Solutions. Pours reddish copper with a think tan head. So much citrus/floral hop that the roast malt is nearly hidden. Medium body with creamy carbonation. The flavor is lush hop. Floral, citrus, maybe a touch of resin, and theres roast malt underneath. A slight hop burn in the finish. This is a really good one.

Bomber poured a clear reddish copper with a small lingering amber head. Aromas of carmel, earthiness, pine, orange zest and pink grapefruit. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, pine, earthiness, light orange and light pink grapefruit with a smooth lingering citrusy bitter finish.
