On tap at Belmont Station, Portland, Oregon. The colour is slightly hazy dark brown with a creamy compact beige head. Roasted aroma of nuts, chocolate, rye bread and subtle coffee and smoke. Nicely roasted flavour as well with smoke, ash, dark chocolate, coffee and rye bread. Has a soft mouth feel, medium body and a light to medium bitterness. A smooth ale with a nice touch of smoke. Well balanced. fiery1 (1793) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 25, 2017
Draught @ Lompoc Hedge House. Pours a rich mahogany colour with a small beige head. Nose is bready malt with a hint of hops. Flavour is a very different mix of piney hops with a smokey character. While I’m not a fan of the hoppy bitterness I find the sweet smokey character manages to mask the harsh bitterness making for a semi middle ground if you will. The smokey character develops on the palate and lingers nicely. Mmmh.. salty meat products I desire now. Ferris (17070) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 25, 2017

Deep rich brown body with an off white head. Aroma is very light. Smokey taste leading into a liquorice taste and hitting with a strong chocolate aftertaste.

22 oz bottle poured. Pours cola like, dark brown with a fizzy off white head. Hop forward aroma. Flavor is just the opposite with a heavy malt, slight spice, light smoke, and caramel. A lot of different flavors going on here. Hops come back late. Overall this is an interesting beer to me. Little surprised to see the strong ale tag on a beer under 7%, but I don’t make the rules, nor do I usually understand them. No matter what it is, I enjoyed this beer. mjg74 (3199) - La Mesa, California, USA - JUL 27, 2015
Bomber from Capital Market. Super deep ruby in color. Nose is fairly roasty with a lot of dark fruit notes. More roasty dark fruits up front. Going into a nice bit of roasty coffee. Mild hoppiness. Pretty good strong ale. KyotoLefty (10808) - Kyoto, JAPAN - APR 17, 2015
Bomber at Imazato. Almost black, cloudy, low head, lacy. Medium smoke in the nose, more chocolate, caramel. Nice, rich, chewy malt nose. Good chocolate flavors, medium smoke goes well with it, nicely rich and chewy. Dig it. A bit light in body, but it works. DSG (15403) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - MAR 16, 2015
[2/26/15] Draught at Fifth Quadrant in Portland. Deep reddish amber color. Aroma of malt, caramel, nice smokiness and a bit of toast. Sweetish malty flavor with caramel, pleasant smokiness, a toasty touch and a bitterish finish with some hops. Medium-bodied. Good. KansaiBeerLvrs (5500) - Kyoto, JAPAN - NOV 8, 2014
Lompoc Special Draft
A dark molasses pour in a mason jar. The aroma is citrusy grapefruit hops & malty caramel - somewhat American Barleywine like. Very pithy grapefruit flavor with light fudge malt character. Fairly light bodied but overall it’s decent. This was such a bizarre beer that was hard to categorize, finally I just called it an Imperial Brown Ale. good but disjointed.
