3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a pale rose color. Smell is mild, some raspberry. Taste is tart, raspberry, somewhat wine like, highly carbonated mouthfeel. Different and unique, not a bad beer.
New Planet Raspberry Ale has a thin, white head, a mostly clear, amber appearance, which hazes up with a powdery cloud, following the "swish & pour". Aroma is of raspberries and grassy grain. Taste is of those elements, with a sorghum syrupy sweetness and no bitterness. Mouthfeel is light and a bit slick, and New Planet Raspberry Ale finishes crisp and decently refreshing. I was surprised. RTJ shadey (2140) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - NOV 11, 2016
12oz bottle. Pours orange and clear. No head. Sweet malty aroma with just touch of syrupy raspberry character. Tasty but a bit flat. kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 18, 2015
Bottle. Pours a clear pinkish amber body with a rather large fizzy white head that vanished quickly. The nose is rather sweet with a raspberry hard-candy like fruity note. Not much else beyond the fruit going on. The flavor is pretty awful though. Very thin and watery with an almost seltzer like quality to it. The raspberry isn’t actually all that sweet, which you think would help, but it just leaves the base beer all the more exposed. It’s just real hard to pull of a decent tasting gluten free beer. It’s not the worst thing in the world, if you’re into seltzer drinks. alexsdad06 (10473) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - OCT 25, 2015
Bottle at home from notes. Pours a hazy orange amber color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have raspberries, mild pale malts, caramel, thin and spritzy, more raspberry cola than beer, not my thing. Rb23lb (3) - - MAR 9, 2015 does not count
Wow what a letdown

Way over carbonated. The beer foamed as soon as the cap was off and it was very difficult to pour. Aroma is numbing, like cough syrup. This beer is horrible, one of the worst I’ve had. A mixture between cough syrup and vodka with a weird fruit extract added in. geologyguy (1609) - Columbia, South Carolina, USA - JAN 9, 2015
Smells like raspberry ginger ale very good, reddish amber, taste is terrible like cough syrup though, dunno how it rated so low at first....now I see...wow almost 800 beers and one of the worst tasting ever... hotstuff (5173) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - JAN 8, 2015
Rated on 4-16-2013 (Bottle) The appearance of this beer is a very small, very fizzy off-white head that quickly dissipated, transparent body, fast rising carbonation, and no lacing. The aroma is raspberries, sweet and sorghum. The flavor is very sweet, light raspberries and sorghum. The mouthfeel is very dry and this beer is medium bodied. Overall, I couldn’t finish my pour of this beer as I outright did not like the flavor of it. Next! cmacklin (1208) - Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 2, 2014
355 ml bottle. Pours a clear, pinkish orange colour with a thin white head. Fruity aroma of raspberry, orange peel, corn and a mild floral note. Floral flavour with raspberry and a dry, slightly bitter finish. Light body with a watery texture and fizzy carbonation. Reminds me of a wine cooler. Not my thing. tillmac62 (740) - Gaffney, South Carolina, USA - OCT 15, 2014
No BOD. Pours a light amber with a very slight red hue. Nice head with normal retention and very good lacing. Light nose of raspberry over something that is unpleasant and medicinal - like old corn stored in isopropyl alcohol. Light bodied, normal carbonation. The flavor profile is unpleasant. It tastes like a very poorly compounded raspberry medicine. As the raspberry fades, you are left with only the terrible medicinal flavor. I like raspberry ales, but this one is terrible. Try Thirsty Dog’s Raspberry Ale and avoid this.
