3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Its color is muddy red rustic. It smells like merlot and mustard smothered hotdogs. Weird, I know, but even being a vegetarian, I had to take a taste...and am I ever glad I did! Light on the palate...very acidic and sour. Like doing a shot of Merlot and then sucking on a lemon. Crazy strange goodness. Yum yum yum!

Bottle thanks to Matt. Pours a clear copper with small off white head. The aroma is apple skin, cherry skin, oak. Thin mouthfeel with strong tart cherry, oak, good. TXBadger (2811) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUN 14, 2014
Had this at a tasting: pours a darker reddish brown color with off-white head. Tartness, light fruits, and oak on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes tart and dry. dfinney23 (3366) - Houston, Texas, USA - FEB 5, 2014
I haven’t sampled the target beer yet but it’s hard to imagine it’s this good. Marries the best aspects of dry red wine (not at all a wine fan but if that’s what I’m drinking I prefer dry and red) and sour beer. Tartness is more lemon than cherry and doesn’t build as you drink it. Experiment_Ale (1098) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JAN 19, 2014
At c&g tasting. Aroma is tart cherries barrell. Taste is thin tart fruits with a quick light finish. rougeau13 (3084) - Richmond, Texas, USA - NOV 17, 2013
Dark reddish brown with a short-lived beige head. Aroma of sweet and sour cherries, wood, and apple. The taste is delightfully tart with some woodiness and very mild sweetness. Dry and medium bodied with soft carbonation. Good "oops."

Aroma of wine and vinegar. Appearance is a beautiful hazy amber with no head. Taste is very sour but not bitter. Cherries, oak and ... lemons? The taste is not subtle and it makes you pucker, but it has such a soft finish and beautiful pallet that you want another drink almost right away. Probably because you're thinking "what the hell was that?"... It was a very good and unusual beer, that's what it was, Jackass.

Disclosure: I own the brewery.
Aroma: apple, cherry
Appearance: clear, reddish-brown, tan head
Taste: tart cherry, light sweetness, medium-high sourness, very low bitterness
Palate: light body, dry finish, effervescent
Overall: Among the best sours I’ve had. Similar to Jacobins Rouge or the Duchess.
