I’m glad this new regional came onto the NC market. Old Dominion has a winner here. Too hoppy to be a real APA, this guy smells piney with some citrus behind it. The malt kicks in eventually, but isn’t too noteworthy. Tastes like a good IPA. Citrussy pine hops dominate with some grassiness following. Well balanced and refreshing as can be.

Flight at brewery. Amber, white (yes) head. Interesting blend of almost caramel malt, and fruity, florall, hops. Again, the aroma is light, but pleasant. Light to medium mouthfeel, smooth.

Earthy hop aromas, floral, piney. Clear deep gold with a moderately lasting white head. Dry, bitter, crackery. Light-medium bodied.

From the tap the beer pours clear and hplds a dark orange to blond color, aroma is indistinct, taste is wheat with sweet hits, a little grass/hay and finish is a very light citrus and a touch of vanilla. Good beer as i drink i keep trasting more. Inviting and entertaining to drink, not the most complex but definitely enough flavor profile to keep you interested.

An indistinct American pale ale. Pours a cloudy orange color, the head is average. A little citrus/pine hop thing going on in the aroma. Mild malt on the front of the tongue, mild hops in the middle, watery finish.

Pours a clear light orange with an average size white head. Aroma of mild resiny hops. Tastes of light resiny hops backed by sweet malt and a decent bitter finish. Light body.

Shared 22oz bottle. Looks as expected for style. Flavor: exceptionally fruity APA with near, but lower than average, bitterness. O: very nice fruity/juicy flavor. Easy drinking.

Pale orange color. Well balanced hop flavor that you can taste but that is not totally in your face. Slight dry taste.

solidfunk (9407) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - NOV 24, 2014
Very drinkable session pale ale. Barley-forward with light hops. Like an English pale ale without the slight sourness. Would be great to drink by the pitcher. Hazy amber pour with ok head and lacing. Light bitterness and a snappy finish. Soft carbonation. Tap at brewpub.

Draft->mini tumbler. Amber-gold with small white head. Citrus hops with floral notes, some lite bready malt undertones. Nothing particularly noteworthy or unique, just a solid drinkable APA.
