88 South Colden Street... now home to Newburgh Brewing Company, but once home to Newburgh Paper Box Company. We pay homage to our home’s rich history by naming our Pale Ale after one of the great Newburgh businesses that came before us.
This is our version of an American Pale Ale. It has a bright American hop aroma from the whole-leaf Cascades amongst other generous doses of American hop varietals. Sessionable and dry, it finishes with a crisp and refreshing bitterness.
If there ever could be such a thing as a "sessionable IPA"... then this would be it.

Reviewed from notes. The appearance was a light amber color with a finger’s worth of off white semi-foamy head. No lace. The aroma had some floral hop sweetness, gentle floral bitterness, light grassiness, slight hop spice, bright citrus pulp. Ended with a little bit of vanilla. The flavor blended the floral hop sweetness along with the vanilla to the slow bitterness component. Barely any aftertaste, but had a nice vanilla sweet sort of slight floral finish. The feel was between light and medium on the body with a pretty good sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine along with the ABV. Overall, an APA with a sturdy bitterness yet smooth enough from the vanilla portions. Quite nuanced and worthy of coming back to.

Draft at Pony Bar during the "Hudson Valley" NY brewery tap takeover event. Pours an amber body with off white head. Aroma is floral hop, spice and sweet malt. Mouthfeel is medium with notes of grass, floral hop, spice, sweet candy malt and light vanilla. A touch too sweet for my personal preference.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear orange amber with a thin to medium sized white head. Sweet citrus hops over a light malty backbone. Medium bodied, malty and toasty into a nice hoppy bitterness. Long earthy quinine bitterness with a bit of grapefruit. Very easy drinking and sessionable. Another lovely beer from Chris and company.
