Gravity cask at Son of Sid Brewery, The Chequers, Little Gransden, Cambs’ 1st Beer Festival 02-10-09 Pours golden with little or no head just a few scattered bubbles arounmd the edge. Excellent clarity to this. There is a dusty furriness in the mouth from the hops. Its dry and fruity, with even a touch of dry ash on the tongue. The Black Horse, Walcote. Bright gold pint with faint mist and billowy suds. Nose is musty, piney, citrussy, a bit leafy. Satsuma zest and fresh hop sting. Some onion-like sweatiness as it warms. A trace of malt but it’s all about the hops. Wouldn’t disgrace itself at Church (End).
