Cask at the Peterborough beer Festival 2017. A dark black mahogany brown coloured pour with a lasting loose dirty tan head. Aroma is earthy roast, hints of coconut, milky,. Flavour is composed of semi sweet tangy earthy roast bitter chocolate, ashy charcoal. Palate is ashy, drying, decent condition. Nice robust roast.

Cask. Aroma roasted malts. Pours black with tan cream top. Taste medium sweet and growing bitterness with some fruit in the finish. Better than expected.

Draught (Cambridge Blue, Cambridge) at 4.9%
Lovely chocolatey aroma. Beautiful soft palate. Black, brief small beige head. Lovely chocolatey roast. Gently barky bitterness too, which fades to a nice chocolatey finish. A delicious hoppy bitter stout. Once the choco has faded, there’s even a resiny and bitter late finish.

UPDATED: APR 4, 2015 Cask at The Holy Inadequate, Etruria. A deep brown to black colour with a thin beige head. Aroma of roast malt, licorice and coffee. Taste of burnt malt, liquorice, coffee and some spicy hops. Medium bodied and a smooth texture. A dry, bitter finish. A good porter, nice.
