3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: MAY 2, 2014 Been enjoying this staple ale now for many a years and do so, still. Personally, I like it super, super cold so I will place a twelve ounce bottle in the freezer (I know one ain’t supposed to, I know, I know-but it tastes so gooood) for a few mins. before pouring it into an english pint glass and quaffing it in and down by big, open gulps. My, o’my, to me, it’s @ the top of the middle-of-the-road brown ales.
.........of late, I’ve been purchasing the 14.9 ounce can ten pax and am growing rather fond of the results. no skunkiness. a few extra swallows, the cans crunch tightly into a return bag and the taste remains the same: good, as MOR can be.
Clean and nice taste. Specific smell more like skunk than other. Overall nice beer for an ale.

Aromat karmel, słód, miód, chleb. Barwa bursztynowa, ładna czapa piany. W smaku karmel, chleb, zimna kawa z cukrem, słód, niesamowicie wodniste. Goryczki brak, wysycenie średnie. Nie jestem fanem. eunck (223) - Msida, MALTA - SEP 12, 2017
Brownish amber beer with quickly disappearing off white head. Aroma of caramel malts, a touch of honey and also some spices. Low carbonation and not too much body. Pleasant to drink but not out of the ordinary. DavidSvinth (212) - DENMARK - SEP 8, 2017
UPDATED: SEP 8, 2017 Flot gyldenbrun farve. Karamel i næsen. Sød i munden - lidt for sød. Ellers gør den ingen fortræd.

legendary british ale that got me into drinking real ales and therefore craft beers. only reason i started drinking this was because as a teenager i clocked on that other people wouldn't pinch your bottles at house parties etc. because everyone thought "newky brown" was disgusting. it is of course a staunch, british brew that is very muddy and not really to my taste anymore, but i do still enjoy the occasional bottle. i've never, for better or worse, seen it on draught, ever, but i am from wales, not up't'north. jooilakon (256) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 31, 2017
Tap at Bagpiper's inn, Rörstrandsgatan. Aromas of roasted malts. Body is almost black or dark amber. Small head. Taste is sweet, roasted malts, caramel. Quite mild for a dark ale. Decent but not fantastic.
