Newcastle Brown Ale was first brewed in 1927 in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England, by Jim Porter after three years of development. Production moved from Newcastle to Gateshead at the end of 2004 and to Tadcaster on closure of the Dunston brewery in 2010.
In 2017 the beer was re-branded and production moved to the main Heineken Factory in Zouterwoude.

Very carefully brewed (made) product. Nice sourness - little syrup and rasperry. This fits for all. I dont mind to have a six-pack while watching a premium league soccer match.

BudBlack (22) - GERMANY - JAN 19, 2018

Quick3Beers (1512) - East Falmouth, Massachusetts, USA - JAN 19, 2018
UPDATED: JAN 19, 2018 Pours a clear dark brown from a tap. Faint aroma of coffee and butterscotch, flavor is sweet and watery. Okay beer.

ischas (867) - - JAN 16, 2018
UPDATED: JAN 16, 2018 0,33 l Dose. Braunes, schwammiger, stabiler, cremeweißer Schaum, schöne Gardine. Die Optik ist dann auch das Highlight. Riecht relativ neutral, leicht malzig. Schmeckt leicht röstig, künstlich süß.

UPDATED: JAN 15, 2018 I worked for Scottish and Newcastle this was a class drink in its day when it was blended from other beers when it had its own brew recipe just went down hill It did have a Jammy marmalade flavour before it went through the pasteuriser always use a half pint glass and keep topping it up to give a good white head enjoy

Mpuntmuts (370) - NETHERLANDS - DEC 24, 2017
Clear brown amber pour. Malty aroma, caramel, some honey. Halfway medium sweet, fairly bitter. Watery and thin mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Okay.

heno (82) - - DEC 2, 2017
UPDATED: DEC 2, 2017 Can. Clear amber color. Taste is caramel but somehow off. Metallic bitterness and relatively flat.

Hopverdju (1644) - BELGIUM - DEC 1, 2017
Helder roodbruin bier met wit schuim. Geur: redelijk gesloten, mout, ietwat kandij. Smaak: vrij neutraal, wat kandij. Licht tot medium body. Medium koolzuurprikkel. Geen afdronk. Een doordrinker.

If you drink a light beer and then move to this darker brew it will almost taste like coffee. Great beer overall. Great taste I give it a 96/100 ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Systembolaget color is brown with a small white head. Aroma is toffee and roasted bread. Taste is syrup and hops with a sweet aftertaste. Overall a pleasant beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Skunk? Wtf. Watery and boring for a brown. I'd have to check the price. Better be cheap
