Thanks for the bottle Rod. Although there is a bit of bitter, this is not a "bitter". Very easy to drink. Right amount of alcohol. Decent hops. Missing a malty punch. wlajwl (7005) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - MAR 8, 2012
Aroma is grainy malts and a hint of hops. The flavor is malts, a hint of fruit and a hint of hops in the finish. It was relatively decent, definitely could’ve used more flavor though. unclemike (3170) - Junction City Kansas, Kansas, USA - MAR 7, 2012
The aroma is dusty with grassy hops, light brown sugar, and adjuncts. The appearance is light brown amber with a foamy head. The taste is like the aroma and is slightly papery and astringent. The palate is average. Overall a pretty average beer. BrewBoxer (2657) - New York, New York, USA - MAR 5, 2012
Bottle. Deep carmel color..Head fades quick, decent appearance and smell. Taste is overly sweet and sort of flatter then i’d expect. really doesnt do anything for me sonnycheeba (6259) - Federal Hill, Baltimore, Maryland, USA - MAR 4, 2012
Tap. Pours clear copper with thin, frothy off-white head; decent retention and spare lacing. Aroma is biscuit malt, earthy hops, light caramel, and light fruit esters. Flavor is sweet malt forward, medium hops, and light fruit esters; dry finish. Light body and warmth with medium carbonation.

This beer poured nice and the coloring was okay to look at. With that said I was expecting more from Newcastle. The taste was weak and slightly metallic. Definitely not one of the beers I’ll be picking up again. Jlo7399 (218) - Florida, USA - MAR 1, 2012
Pours copper. Smells of bready sweet malts and aluminum. Taste is metallic, doughy malts, sweet (brown sugar maybe?). Palate is thin but refreshing. Just ok... Ratman197 (15204) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - MAR 1, 2012
Bottle poured a clear amber with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of carmel, toasted malt and earthiness. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of carmel, earthiness and light citrus with a crisp dry lingering carmel finish. tronraner (2459) - Walland, Tennessee, USA - MAR 1, 2012
12 oz bottle. Pours copper with whitish head. The aroma is slight earthy hops with some toast and nougat, some musty and bloody hints. The flavor mild spritzy bitterness with a chalky quality and a strange crackery malt. Saline finish, clean bitterness in aftertaste. Meh. dwyerpg (6365) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - FEB 29, 2012
Immediate thought on this is disappointing. There’s very little here. A bit of sweet malt and a lot of strainy water flavors. Boring.
