Bottle at home ... copper ... big white head .. soft metallic toffee malt nose ... soft fruits ... again metalic ... soft malts ... very blah

Amber in color with a short lived white head. Like a lot of these seasonal Newcastle releases, really quite buttery. A bit of melon in there, too. Bread and toast with a touch of toffee. Toffee and toasted malt flavors to this one which aren’t bad, but still a hint of butter. Slight melon notes and a light floral hop character.

Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours light copper with a 2 finger creamy almost beige head. Light fruit and floral aromas with a touch of something like cinnamon. Light touch. Near med body. Flavor is very English. Floral and bitter. There’s touches of fruit and metal, and the ever popular light caramel. It is dry - compared to Newcastle Brown. Maybe a Scottish version of an English bitter. Nice ongoing mild spice into the finish.

Bottle. Pours a clear copper with small off white head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is bready malt and caramel. Medium mouthfeel with raisin and metallic in the finish. Meh

Ratman197 (15109) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - MAR 1, 2012
Bottle poured a clear amber with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of carmel, toasted malt and earthiness. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of carmel, earthiness and light citrus with a crisp dry lingering carmel finish.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Ariel’s place. Thanks troubles. Clear deep golden. Aroma has a bit of oxidation, some fruitiness, malt and honey-ish notes. Sweetish caramelly flavor with some fruitiness and light oxidation. Light to medium-bodied.

Drake (14036) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 10, 2012
12 ounce bottle from Beer Run. Pours a clear golden color with a thin off-white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of toasted malts and floral hops. The taste is bitter hops with a toasted malt finish and a bit of green apple. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Bland beer but not bad.

bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - NOV 6, 2013

"Kinda nice if indescript. Couldn’t really tell what the style was. English pale works. Caramel and light earthy and spicy hops. Nothin special but easy to put down. "
