1.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Light watery taste. Definitely an after lawn mowing beer! I would recommend a try, just to say you tried!
UPDATED: DEC 30, 2017 Bottle from backlog notes. Pours an average clear yellow color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor were bland, muted, slight skunk. Not to be revisited. JPDIPSO (6298) - Wauwatosa, USA - JUN 6, 2015
Dark golden to light amber in color. Taller slightly off-white head. Weak malt and hops aromas. Mild corn and urine scents. Grain and corn flavors. Light earthy to herbal bitterness. A watered down English ESB. Bah! 2/10 hopdog (13249) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 16, 2014
Bottle. Poured an amber color with an averaged sized head. Citrus, some grass, and grains with some generic sweetness. Beese (3305) - Watford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - DEC 1, 2014
Bottle from Tesco. Poured a clear, mid golden colour, with a dense white head. Aroma of caramel, candy sugar and some peppery hop. Tropical fruit flavours, with some grass and raisins. Finish was very light, some mineral notes and dried fruit. slowrunner77 (13206) - Reno, Nevada, USA - OCT 7, 2014
a lighter in color (between yellow and amber) than the brown, with an ever so slightly livlier hop presence in the aroma and flavor. malt still dominates and is pretty similar to that of the brown, just a touch lighter. I enjoyed this at a local baseball game, shocked to find a brand new beer on tap there. doesn’t distinguish itself from it’s predecessor a whole lot, but it was good enough, and like the brown, a light in flavor non-offensive beer."

Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a hazy burnt orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute leaving some light lacing sticking and then sliding down into the beer.
The smell had a slight "soapy" sweet citrus hops. Bitter? Hmm...not exactly.
The taste was mainly sweet with a slight sweet maltiness. There they are: bittered malts - okay so they’re in the taste. Alright, at least I found them.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was slightly there and allowed a slight smooth sweet citrus in a soapy sort of way to come across.
Overall, well, it’s a Bitter. To try and make this appealing is a super hard job to do so my hat goes off to Caledonian for the effort. Not bad, nice to try but I probably wouldn’t come back to this. Sparky (2244) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - JUL 31, 2014
2011 backlog. Pours clear dark gold with a half finger white head. The nose is light burnt malt, grain and nuts. The taste is caramel, grassy hops and muted citrus. Medium mouth feel. Better than I expected. 2.8 weaselkenievil (1609) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - APR 26, 2014
Bottle at home. Gold colour with a slightly off white medium frothy off white head. Aroma of malts, biscuit, faint chlorine. Flavour has more malts, some lemon and citrus, some floral notes. Nowhere near as bad as I was expecting, nowt special but a reasonable session ale. Cornfield (5569) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - FEB 26, 2014
I picked this up at the local Food 4 Less fairly cheaply. Pale gold in color with a modest head, its aroma had a light floral earthiness to it over a touch of old honey. It had a bready flavor with a dab of toffee and a mild earthy bitterness that continued to the finish along with a hit of candy sweetness. Better than the Brown and the BMCs for the summer, but so are a lot of tastier beers. SilverfoX (879) - Norfolk, ENGLAND - NOV 19, 2013
smells just like toasted marmite sandwiches and tastes like a blander hoppier ’newkie’ probably better to go spend your hard earned elsewhere.
