Bottle. Dark copper pour with a small creamy beige head. Aromas of sweet malt, caramel, fig. Flavor is malty, somewhat peaty, with red fruit and grass. Meh. rocbyter (2119) - Waterbury, Connecticut, USA - MAR 7, 2013
Old malt aroma. Clear dark orange color with a large airy white head. Sweet beginning with a bitter malt finish. Light palate. burg326 (5479) - Florida, USA - MAR 3, 2013
12 ounce bottle poured a brownish color qith aromas of bread, toast, malt, and light fruit. Flavors are the same, ok overall. Heathen (1500) - Wilmington, Delaware, USA - FEB 22, 2013
THOUGHTS: Very malty. I didn’t love the flavors, but it was a wonderful study of malt. Sharp hops then took a bite to balance the malt, but the hops were more distracting than complimentary to the wonderful malty start. It might make a great session beer for someone — just not me.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a crystal clear, dark reddish, amber that was nearly cola or birch beer like. It also had an average, off-white head. The aroma had heavy dark bread, toasted and nutty malts, caramel, milk chocolate, rye and candy; light herbal hops; cola; hints of licorice; and a little undetermined fruitiness. The initial flavor was great and moderately sweet, and bitter; while the finish was just OK and moderately sweet and heavily bitter. There was caramel, rye, dark bread, toasty and nutty malts, slight milk chocolate, candy, herbal hops, metallic hops, more metallic hops, slight citrus hops and cola. The medium body was sort of creamy, but a little sticky on the lips with fizzy carbonation and a metallic and dry finish. dnstone (3386) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - FEB 13, 2013
Light bread aroma. Clear Copper color with slight sudsy white head. Bready, toasted flavor...generally unimpressive.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a reddish-brown with a thine tan head that fades. Taste is of roasted malts, caramel, rye and some fruit. Similar aroma. Lighter body with a mostly clean finish. Not bad, I like it better cool, than cold. justinkirby28 (4) - Delhi, New York, USA - JAN 28, 2013 does not count
I really enjoyed this beer. It tasted really good. Not red like advertised though. airrick2003 (872) - Louisiana, USA - JAN 21, 2013
Appearance: clear brown color, hues of deep amber, thick dense head
Aroma: coffee, malt, chocolate, fruit?, faint smelling
Taste: subtle coffee, hint of fruit
Palate: hint of coffee aftertaste
Overall: this bottle is a little beat up I don't know how it was handled before I received it, it's not very complex, highly drinkable of course bc it's from InBev

Medium-light bodied, some astringency. At colder temperatures, there’s a slight whiskey quality. Flavors mellow and fall somewhat flat as it warms. jeremyh70 (1103) - Missouri, USA - JAN 13, 2013
Not blood red as advertised. More light brown with ruby tint. Weak tasting. Some malt and berry taste with some bitter. Wouldn't buy again.
