12oz bottle in a shaker. Pours amber with a cream-colored head. Aroma of pale, caramel, and bread from the malts and light hops. I don’t think they know what hoppy means, as the flavor is severely lacking. Average texture. Not terrible, but not what I was expecting. maxwelldeux (4374) - Snohomish, Washington, USA - JAN 10, 2013
Bottle. Pours a very clear brown color with almost no head. Nose is bitter, but in a dirtier way. Taste is actually very malty, with a lot of caramel and toast in there. Very weird beer. blklab2007 (2120) - Connecticut, USA - JAN 8, 2013
Bottle poured an amber in color with a little white ring of head. Aroma has mild hops, sweet malt, and some minerals. mouth feel is light and there is medium low carbonation. Flavor has light washed out hops, light bitterness, malts, and a metallic twang. Hanoi (971) - Greater Manchester, ENGLAND - JAN 7, 2013
A bland aroma a touch of malt and the faintest, and I mean faintest hint of caramel.
The appearance is a light amber. Bland. I found little of note in the flavours. A slight, very slight hint of nut and caramel. There was nothing hoppy in it at all. Very little carbonation.
Overall a disgracefully poor beer, it has been a long time since I have given up half way and poured a drink down the sink. Christpuncher (3191) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 7, 2013
This is just one aweful beer. It has no redeeming qualities and I would not reccomend it to anyone. Stop producing it

If this had 20% more body it would have been decent. As is, it was dark water with a slight hoppiness. Needs some balls. chinchill (5226) - South Carolina, USA - JAN 5, 2013
2012 12 oz bottle served in a Sam Adams lager glass. Pours a clear brown-amber with a bubbly, fragile tan head. Head reduces to an island and ring but leaves decent lacing. The aroma is quite metallic, although some earthy hops show through this, as well as hints of baked bread and roasted nuts. Designed to be just "subtly higher hopped than British pale ales" they nearly succeed, but only come up to a Brit.. Still, it tastes good, and not particularly like the aroma. The subdued earthy hops are secondary to the toasted and nutty malt flavors. Medium body and medium+ carbonation.
O - moderately tasty but under-hopped "IPA" that’s more of a cross between an English Brown and an ESB. ianwelby (1479) - SCOTLAND - JAN 5, 2013
Clear amber with a thin, frothy head. There’s something hoppy in the aroma but there’s also something of burnt fruit about it, oddly. Doesn’t really seem much like an IPA and I don’t get much hop in the taste. The overall effect is pretty bland to be honest. jimhilt (2621) - Bow, New Hampshire, USA - JAN 3, 2013
Pours a one-finger white head that fades quickly leaving traces lace. Crystal clear amber color. Medium carbonation and medium bodied. Light malty nose. Flavor is light caramel and not a lot of hops, surprising for an IPA. $1.60 for a 12oz bottle from a Tully’s Beer & Wine Wells, ME. geologyguy (1650) - Columbia, South Carolina, USA - JAN 2, 2013
not too hoppy at all. Maybe even some slight chocolate taste in there? probably the best IPA ive ever had... and I don’t like IPAs... but tasted it when I was sick so...
