12 oz bottle from Country Club Liquors. Nose is vegetal and floral with a hint of toffee. Clear light amber with a small beige head. Flavor is lightly bitter with some caramel and a slight peppery spices. Tastes much better than it smells. doboy (424) - Morehead City, North Carolina, USA - NOV 25, 2011
Sorry Newcastle! I expected more from you guys. Poured a dark amber, clear with nice carbonation. head laced to the side. Aroma was kind of a strange european aroma, not one that was noticeable, definately not hoppy. Taste was again kind of strange, probably from the Super Styrian and Styrian Goldings hops I had to research to identify. Mouthfeel was good, aftertaste as unexceptional. Nice try but it’s not worth buying another bottle. dwyerpg (6230) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - NOV 23, 2011
Wow, this beer actually tastes almost exactly like this homemade beer that my dad made with a whole can of brewer’s yeast covered with cheesecloth. So...not so good. It has a sour apple flavor right at the front. And that sourness continues throughout. Not real strong but tingly and untasty. Very little hops. A total drain pour, the absolute worst beer I have had in a long time.PG Tips tea has more flavour.I will leave the other 4 bottles in the fridge to pawn off on false friends.Newcastle brewed a second run and this small beer fails big time.Avoid at all costs. Every single thing in this beer clashed, it was horrid. I took one drink, almost sprayed it out of my mouth, gave it to my boyfriend, he took one drink, walked to the kitchen and poured it out. The we laughed. It was terrible. Never buy.

Really nothing special. I wouldn’t really classify this as an IPA. The ’skunkiness’ confuses the ’hopiness’. This brew is completely see-through and so is the taste. I’m not sure I’ll buy this again. I’d rather drink a Stella over this. A little disappointing given it comes from Newcastle. ddfrazee (66) - Flat Rock, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 20, 2011
Weird and sour smelling. Decent amount of head. Refreshing though. Not worth revisiting. Bizarre light taste. I am not finding this very IPA-like. Not as hoppy as I expected. Depressing. Just like winter. matthewk42 (1) - - NOV 19, 2011 does not count
Quite possibly the worst beer I’ve ever tasted. The brewmaster of this one should be drawn and quartered! Poured into standard pint glass and swear the almost non existent head faded before the pour was complete. Over taste was very similar to newspaper soaked in flat champagne and then strained directly into the bottle. I can’t believe this beer was allowed out of the brewery in anything other than a floor drain! mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 15, 2011
[4087K-20111930] Bottle. Sweet floral toffee cream aroma. Clear, amber orange body with a medium-lasting bubbly white head. Toffee creamy flavour has a sweet aftertaste. Medium body. Not awful but not yet bad. (6/3/6/3/11) 2.9 cbkschubert (2901) - BFE, Arizona, USA - NOV 12, 2011
12 oz. bottle from Total Wine - Pours a crystal clear copper color with a one finger thick off white head. Soft carbonation. Light lacing. Aroma is caramel malt with herbal and floral hops. Flavor is caramel malt and esters with herbal and floral hops. The esters and malt linger in the finish a bit. Medium to full body. A decent beer, but tastes like the other Newcastle beers I’ve had.
