12/29/12. 12oz bottle. Clear amber red pour with a small off-white head that fades to a soapy nothingness immediately. Faint caramel aroma with metal and tea. Plain apple flavor with caramel and must. Blegh. maeib (8751) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - SEP 20, 2013
Bottled 14/09/13. A brown beer with a grey head. A malty beer with brown fruits. A fusty edge. Sweet and low hopped. It does want it sets out to do quite well and there’s nothing nasty but it is a bit shallow. The_Osprey (8722) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 19, 2013
Jan 2013 - cold bottle on a very snowy day. Pretty generic stuff. It’s not bad, it’s just boring. Malty with very little real hop flavour. A tiny bit of a mild licorice honey flavour - very mild and a bit watery. SudsMcDuff (8468) - .....Manchester United.........., Texas, USA - NOV 30, 2012
bought a single from HeB, i told them i’d finally get this bottle after refusing to break the sixer, i always win .. . . this beer smells like an old stinkin copper pipe .. . stale vegetables and brown underwear stain flavours, copper also .. . no body at all .. . light tan .. almost no foam at all .. . crumby beer .. . . I’m sorry but there’s a handsome man in my spoon. You’ll have to come back later.
Bottle. Bright, streaming copper with a fine white slick of foam. GK-like soft oak, Allsorts, hazelnut yoghurt, minerals, damp leaves and twigs aroma. Soft and slick with wet dough, hazelnut and digestive biscuit notes. Just a brown, slightly twiggy bitter with some reasonable malt and a pleasantly nutty aftertaste. Dull but better than expected.

Tallahassee, Fl - Publix Super Market - 12 oz bottle. Medium copper pour, slight off-white head. Nutty aroma, hints of chocolate. Flavor has an interesting bread-like maltiness to it, some nuttiness, a brief citrus undertone, and some odd meaty notes. Surprisingly blends together well. Mouthfeel is thick enough. Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing.
Body is dark amber.
Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (grain/cereal, husks), lightly hoppy (apricot), lightly yeasty (dough), with notes of cardboard, walnut shells, gasoline, diacetyl, dirt.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately bitter, unclean.
Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
Truly bad. Not just bland, but bad. Rough malt with surprisingly high oxidation/staleness despite this just coming out this winter. Fusel alcohol, rancid butter and dirt round out the nose...yum! Dirty aftertaste, thin and watery, off sourness, virtually no hops...it really does have everything you could possibly want in an IPA. To purchase by the case only. blankboy (7788) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 3, 2011
Bottle [12oz] shared with HogTownHarry, garthicus, jerc & mabel. Pours a deep orange with a small diminishing bubbly white head. Aroma of diacytl, biscuity malt, caramel and earthy notes. Watery flavour of caramel malt, just a hint of hops and a very light bitter finish. Average bodied. Not very good and like no IPA I’ve tried. BlackHaddock (7583) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - AUG 17, 2013
Chilled 355ml bottle: BBD 30 Sep 2013. Poured slowly into a Gordon’s thistle shaped glass (well they are from the same brewery) on 17 Aug 2013.
Looked fine: but what doesn’t in a thistle shaped glass? Good gold coloured body with a full white head sat on top.
The aroma was of malty molasses: I thought this was an IPA? Caramel and toffee esters fill the nose and those malty smells carry on into the taste, this is no IPA, winter or otherwise.
Fruity notes appear within the taste, more so as the beer warmed in the glass, but the semi-sweet maltiness drowns them out, the hops not really asserting any influence at all.
I actually liked it: my sweet tooth picking up the bits others don’t enjoy. Body depth was fine and the alcohol (5.2% ABV) sat nicely within the brew. vtafro (7445) - Wayne, New Jersey, USA - DEC 5, 2012
Draft.amber pour with tan head. Very malty and light fruit and bread aromas. Light bittering and yes autocorrect bittering of flavor, "stale college basement". Not finishing the generous pour at the pub.
