Cask conditioned at the 32nd Cambridge Beer Festival, gravity dispense. Deep amber colour. Strong treacle / burnt caramel aroma, lovely. Butterscotch flavour, moderately sweet but with a hoppy finish. Unusual and nice. Leighton (22773) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 26, 2010
Cask at Cleveland Arms, London. Pours rich amber with a medium, foamy head. Malty aroma with some caramel and bready yeast. Mostly sweet flavor with more bready malts, light nuts, caramel and faint bitterness. Medium in body with average carbonation. Finishes pleasantly sweet, doughy, with some earthy hops coming through in the end. Good beer. johndoughty (5600) - cheslyn hay, West Midlands, ENGLAND - APR 11, 2009

Cask handpull at County Hotel, JDW, Ashford. Copper colour with lasting beige head, now that all Wetherspoons seem to use tight sparklers. Satisfying hoppy beer. Maybe a bit of US hop. Quite creamy and full. Some red fruit malt flavour. Very decent bitter with bitter hop on end. Rather good.

Cask conditioned at Merton Beer Festival ’07. Sl hazed amber with white head. Decent session type bitter with no outstanding flavours, just a solid malty hoppy bitter. Reasonably bitter finish, refreshing and simple. Fin (11047) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUL 11, 2007
Cask at Merton Summer Beer Festival 07-07-07. Poured copper with a slight haze, this was really quite nice, good solid malty base but quite rich flavourful beer, nice hoppiness and the bitterness was there as well. Whilst this wasn’t outstanding this ticked all the right boxes for me and was a jolly decent beer. thewolf (12932) - Kolding, DENMARK - MAR 29, 2011
Bottle, bought @ METRO, Kolding.Plovmand (8683) - Grindsted, DENMARK - JUL 16, 2011
Hazy amber with a big, frothy, off-white head. Lots of bubbles in the liquid. Aroma has good caramel, some red berries, light sweetness, hay, grassy and floral hops. A bit of cardboard. Highish carbonation, fair creamy mouthfeel - especially for the ABV. Flavour is mild, good doughy caramel base with some fine grassy and piney hops notes with a firm bitterness. Fine bitter.
Bottle. Pours hazy amber with a medium off white head. The aroma is fruity hops, wood, grass and caramel. The flavour is wood, fruit, caramel, citric hops and some grass. Tasty.
