Big blue bottle in a tulip. Pours murky brown with a small head. Aroma of spicy yeast, some floral/old hops, pale and caramel malts, hints of chocolate/toffee, and some dark fruits. Flavor sort of weird, probably because it’s so old at this point. Average texture. Might have been better at one point, we’ll never know. yngwie (17053) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUN 19, 2015
Bottle, 75cl, wine cork. An unclear, murky brown beer with a minimal sized beige head. Just a few bubbles actually. It’s heavily oxidized, with toffee, prunes and rye bread. Some alcohol and old leather too. It’s full-bodied, warming and rather flat on the palate. Rye bread, chocolate and prunes in the flavor, as well as a nice bitterness, alcohol and oxidation. Lasting finish. Feels more like an English Barley Wine than a Belgian Quad or similar. Nice, but too oxidized. Well, it’s six years old, it’s excused. 150619 Meilby (11495) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUN 19, 2015

Pours hazy amber with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, very oxidized, dried fruits and alcohol. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long warm, oxidized and fruity finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. Way past it’s prime..
Bottle at Good, Bad, Ugly tasting 2014. Almost flat, opens nice with some caramel notes, finishes empty. Past its prime for sure. Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 4, 2014
750mL bottle. Poured clear ruby red with just about no head sticking around. The aroma picked up strong, syrupy dark fruits, molasses, and black pepper with heavy notes of oxidation and raw alcohol notes.. broken-down hops too.. came across as a big ol’ beer with little direction. The flavor found dark fruits, raisins, and molasses at the core with tacky alcohol-covered hay and spice paste on the edges.. figs led into a heavy, hard-to-swallow alcohol presence on the long finish.. not very enjoyable. Heavy-bodied with almost no noticeable carbonation.. boozy and rough.. I didn’t get what the description was going for, or anything else I wanted.

Bottle purchased at Vicker’s Liquors and shared with friends. Clear amber in color with no head. Malty and caramelly aroma with slight Belgian yeast esters. Malty and caramelly flavor with some oxidation character and a dry, flat finish. madmitch76 (24807) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JUN 4, 2012

ChrisOs Kook Tasting. Hazy brown beer. Old malt nose. Light palate, low carbonation. A spritzy barleywine! Not bad.
750mL Bottle poured at the brewery tasting room for The "Odd" Years Vertical Tasting. Aged and oxidized fruit nose. Dusty. Super, super hot and boozy. Lots of heat in the nose and right up front on the palate. Belgian spice does show through midway, but it’s too late, my palate has been bludgeoned. Thin and tangy. Some slight astringency on the edges of the tongue. Hot and messy. Ungstrup (37670) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - MAY 4, 2011
Bottled. A hazy red-brown beer with notes of over ripe fruit, malt, caramel, and hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of over ripe fruit, caramel juice, alcohol, and malt, leading to a bitter finish. joergen (28173) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAY 4, 2011
