12 oz. bottle. Pours a hazy golden amber with a moderate linen white head that lsted through the first two sips and left light lace. Pleasant aroma of orange and caramel. The flavor is malt and caramel followed by some overripe orange. Mild-moderate bitterness at the finish. Medium bodied.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
bottle. Deep golden with small head. The hops in this one just donít quite work. Not an awful IPA, but doesnít seem very "west coast" in style.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A slightly hazy, deep amber pour with a tan head. The aroma is pine with light citrus and some mild caramel and banana undertones. It has a full body with slick texture and average carbonation. The taste is nicely balanced to start and then finishes with some lip-smacking bitterness.

UPDATED: JAN 12, 2017 Bottle, the label on my bottle lists 7.8% alc. (just like the the label on the picture of the bottle),
this IPA had a clear red pour and made a two finger off-white bubbled head, head lowered to a cover with a ring that was sticky and clung to the sides of the glass, it left nice lacing on the glass, there was no sediment in the bottle,
there were aromas of toasted malt, caramel, light citrus and faint grass hops, hops were not that big on the nose, lots of malt sweetness and faint earth notes,
it had flavors of toasted malt, caramel, light fruit, there was light citrus hops, the finish had little hop bitterness and lots of sweetness that lingered (not the hops), I tasted faint alcohol towards the bottom of the glass,
the mouth feel was medium with a nice creamy feel on the palate and it had soft to average carbonation,
for the aroma the malt was out front, malt was out front on the palate to, the hops were weak in this beer,
this was not a West Coast IPA, way too sweet, this beer was a very sweet IPA with little hops.

Bottle at Brick Alley Pub. Clear amber to copper pour with a thick beige head. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel and old hops. Malty and caramelly flavor, syrupy tasting like old hops, before a grassy hop finish. Not sure if this beer was actually old, or if thatís just how it tastes. Leaves a lot to be desired in terms of crispness though.

12 oz bottle from Sandyís Liquors in Middletown, RI. Pours a dark amber (not unlike the RI maple syrup I purchased on the way home!) with a head that settles down to a creamy appearance. Nice piney hops in the nose, hinting at the goodness to come. Well, after a sip, Hurricane Will will blow you away with hoppiness! Iím a West Coast style IPA lover, and this is plenty for my palate. I started with this as my first beer of the session, perhaps I should have had a warm-up ale to start with. The body is firm, without feeling heavy. The alcohol is evident, but I enjoy that. I wish I had bought more, but Iím glad to hear that theyíre thinking about distributing in NJ.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
12oz Bottle, purchased at Wakefield Liquors - Wakefield, RI. Behold a hoppy nose, be-speckled with bubblegum, necco wafers, root beer and bathed in a banana froth. The phenols in the nose are killing me already. Strange soapy seraphims sift saccharine solutions from packs of Bazooka gum. Powdery (Iím not sure Iíve ever used this word to describe a beer). Nary a month old and this beast doth reek of dill seed breath and old, dusty hops. Warm and strong vapors elicit dubious balance when paired with thin, dry green bitterness. Somewhere someone is sad about buying a six pack of this, somewhere a brewery continues to struggle with brewing hoppy beers.
