Has deep brown/red color with a slightly brown head which is a around one finger in height and lasts a long time. Has a very spicy hop aroma. Has a spicy hop taste also with a touch of bitterness. I detect a hint of sourness in the finish. Though it seemed rather strong at the start it soon mellows the more you drink it. italianjohn (3133) - Penndel, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 19, 2010
Dark red/brownish pour off white head .... sweet roasted malty aroma and a roasted nutty, caramel malt taste with a bitter sweet roasted finish ..... a different kind of irish red not just a caramel malt bomb here ... enjoyed it BroSpud (2188) - , Massachusetts, USA - JUN 1, 2010
12oz bottle. Pours a dark amber with a white head. Reminds me more of a scotch ale than a typical red. Primary taste seemed to be some sort of malty rye. halfonit (1364) - Fall River, Massachusetts, USA - MAR 31, 2010
Pours a dark and deep amber color with a thick off white head. It seems to be a little cloudy. Aroma is of malts, coffee, and hops. Flavor is of malts, coffee milk, and some caramel. Leaves a coffee malt finish. This seems to be more like a winter ale to me. Similar to their Coffee Milk Stout. auerbrau (3203) - Ithaca, New York, USA - MAR 21, 2010
12oz Bottle, purchased at Wakefield Liquors - Wakefield, RI. Generic red malt aroma, plain and clean. Pours a very dark red-brown, with an off-white lacy head. Wow. This has got a really rich and deep satisfying caramelized malt flavor. Somehow completely unexpected. However, there’s some strong fresh hop bitterness, that may push it a little far, but otherwise, it’s enjoyable. I’m surprised. This has some really strong, delicious malt flavors from an unassuming Irish Red Ale. Nice work.

Draft @ Monster B’s. Very dark ruby body. A simple well-rounded ale. Perfect session ale and perfect ale for a designated driver. Lots of flavor without too much ABV. Crispy and well-bodied. thirdeye11 (6160) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JAN 23, 2010
