Six malts, three hops and trillions of ale yeast cells, Liquidambar is all about sweet, sweet nectar. Noble-style hops add spice, while roasted specialty malts drive flavour depth. Definitely a passive aggressive redhead.

UPDATED: DEC 2, 2017 Quite dark, heavy amber. Sweet caramel, nice roasted malts. Very tasty. Smooth in the mouth too.

From can in tapered shaker. Pours deep amber with thick 2 finger head and biscuit malt aroma. Smooth drinking with a fairly mild finish including a bit of earthy hop bitterness. Reminds me of a good ESB.

Bottle into a glass (repeatedly). Average. Colour and head were fine, aroma a little soft. Taste was bland and just neither malty or hoppy. Wasn’t horrible, just not as good as the other Amber I was drinking in the same week. (Mountain Goat - Fancy Pants Ale)

Pours from tap at Padre dark amber with minimal creamy head. Aroma burnt Carmel. Taste mildly sweet with no bitterness. Palate silky with above average carbonation giving a spicy feel. Overall among the best amber’s I’ve tasted. Very drinkable any time of year. Highly recommended.

On tap at Royal Albert, pours a clear amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out bready malt and a touch of herbal hops. Flavour is along the same lines, with the herbal hops upfront, followed by bready malt. Nothing special, standard amber.

Tap. Clear, amber, rocky head, white foam, medium bitterness, medium body, oily feel, average carbonation, & bitter finish.

Lovely malty molasses aroma, nice amber colour, low carbonation but unfortunately little head retention, some nice toasty flavours but a lacking a bit of body and complexity. Bit of mineral fizz to it.

Draught at Newstead Brewery, Brisbane with fellow RateBeerian Nateg2 on 6th September 2015. Amber with off-white foam and no lacing. Malty aroma with sweet caramel. Sweet malts, fruit and berries in-mouth. A short, malty finish. Medium-bodied with a zingy mouthfeel.

Nice Amber colour. Rich burnt toffee aroma. Milder flavour of toffee with some light fruitiness. Enjoyable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Schooner on tap @ Pigs & Pints. Smoky malt nose, gorgeous bronze colour. Small head, medium carbonation. Flat mouthfeel. Taste is smoky, hoppy, grainy. Finish is grainy, dark malts, dried raisins. True to style, very nice.
