COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brutal Double IPA. We’ve doubled the hops, but not the malty body ;-) So are you ready for the next level of bitterness? Insane amounts of finest hops lead to enormous citrusy waves of hop aroma kickin’ your palate. The hoppy oils cover your throat and each sip adds the next layer of bitterness. Push your bitter limit with this brutal brew! Brewed just once a year.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, orangey, deep golden colour with average, firm, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Citrusy, piney and tropical fruity, hoppy aroma, hints of mango, passion fruit, pineapple, lemon, lemon zest, grapefruit, slightly sugary and biscuity, caramel malty background. Taste is fruity hoppy, slightly sugary, pale and caramel malty basis, notes of pineapple, some apricot, accumulating hop bitterness turns minimally into soapy regions.

Bottle. Slightly hazy golden amber, with a medium, dense white head. Mango, grapefruit, strawberries, grass, caramel, pine, slightly buttery and toasted, some resin. Only light sweetness, herbal bitterness - not unlike the one encountered in their Earl Grey IPA, but softer, more pleasant. Great, silky medium body, with soft carbonation. At a whopping 200 IBU, I expected more of a bitter kick. A test for your palate - maybe. But actually just a fairly pleasant, bitter IPA. Well done!

Moretum (173) - Vienna, AUSTRIA, AUSTRIA - JUN 25, 2017

Bottle sample at a tasting at Lior’s place. Thanks zvsn. Hazy golden with white head. The aroma has notes of honey, caramel and rotten citrus. Very bitter flavor with some graininess, notes of citrus, caramel, a bit alcoholic, leaves, "green", lingering bitterness in the finish. Medium to full-bodied.

Bottle shared in a tasting, thanks Thomas. Hazy yellow. Aroma of fruity hops, not very fresh, piney and malty. Sweetish, fruity, pine, citrus, strong herbal bitterness. Light medium bodied , dry with long finish. Decent.
