COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This brew was inspired by British culture.
Earl grey tea and IPA both have a history in beeing transported overseas. We united them to form a modern beer for open-minded people who can imagine the brilliance of bergamotte combined with orange hop aroma and bitterness. So now it’s tea time. Time for Five O’Clock.

WINNER of the Austrian Beer Challenge, Category IPA!

Idiosynkrasie (8061) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - OCT 15, 2017
330ml bottle. Hazy, dark amber colour with average to huge, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Fruity hoppy and herbal aroma, notes of bergamot, a citrusy touch, some orange. Taste is dry, hoppy, slightly citrusy and herbal, notes of bergamot, a touch of lemon and orange zest, minimally chalky overtones. A well matching combination as is known since at least Marble's and Emelisse's collabrew.

ogivlado (8167) - Zagreb, CROATIA - AUG 7, 2017
Bottled 330ml. -at Magic Beer Room Zagreb. Unclear amber coloured, small to medium sized off-white head, light herbs and earl grey in the nose. Sweetish malty, quite herbal, notes of earl grey and mild citrusy notes. Rather dry bitter finish with somehow harsh bitterness in the aftertaste. Interesting but nothing more than that.

herrklemann (469) - Graz, AUSTRIA - MAY 22, 2017
Deep, murky amber, with a decent off-white head. Tangy black tea, with a hint of berries, resin, blood oranges. Dominantly bitter with light sweetness. Medium body, with a long, bitter black tea finish, lively carbonation.

This is an odd one. Strong, herbal Earl Grey notes estrange this one from its basic style. They really stick with the concept. Very well done, but maybe not everyone’s cup of tea.

3.8
