Bottle 33 cl. Pours an opaque black with a tiny, beige head. Nose is sweet roast and alcohol - disappointingly little imprint of the aquavit. Rich, sweet, body. Lowish carbonation, sweet roast, vanilla - and that's about it. I remember the Aquavit Porters from Haandbryggeriet to be much more distinct. 050118 HopsCommander13 (2) - - DEC 25, 2017 does not count
UPDATED: DEC 25, 2017 velvety cadbury milk chocolate. Rich oaky butterscotch following hot vinous licorice Really well rounded. aquavit has a hard time pushing through such a heavy malt base which is a good thing. gam (4161) - brisbane, AUSTRALIA - DEC 3, 2017

Technically a very well brewed imperial porter. Everything is in balance and drinks easy for 11%. Typical porter flavors of light caramel, subtle choc and a hint of coffee, finishing very dry and clean. The aquavit adds a herbal, slightly woody, spirit like quality that for me makes the base imperial porter less appealing - although for those looking for something a bit different, or fans of Aquavit, this beer will appeal.
