COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Einer.

Juniper black ale - fermented with Sigmund’s Voss kveik.

Amber with off white head - Malt aroma with some herbal tones - Malt body to support a herbal flavour that gives bitterness - The herbal flavour goes into the finish - This was good

jaghana (6418) - Strasbourg (Alsace), FRANCE - JAN 22, 2018
UPDATED: JAN 23, 2018 Bottle 50cl, a brown beer with low head. Nose is on hop resin and roasted malt, pine and roasted coffee notes. Taste is less sweet and bitter, very watery. Aroma is on hop resin, cold coffee, yeast, herbal, floral, not my cup of tea.

2x50cl bottles 03/2017 bb03/2019 from source, SEP2017. - Mild, Black Session IPA interpretation of a traditional juniper-lautered traditional NO ale, apparently sourcing kveik. Subtle earthy tones of dewed moss, autumn leaves, dark berries and mild fruit work well as a backdrop to a more modern hop bill that drowns out the juniper (faint woodsiness). High drinkability, low carbo makes it feels natural on the palate (kveik?) and fresh aromatic nose. Tastes a bit cleaner than it smells.

500ml bottle, batch 1774, from Gulating Ølutsalg, Tromsø. Dense, fawn-coloured head remaining over a dark brown body. Lacing rings down the glass. Decent smoked malty nose, earthy. Dark doughy flavours joined by brown malts, a touch of smoke and spiced berries. Drying ending. Medium bodied. Pretty nice. (Tromsø 26.08.2017).
