This beer is a dark amber color with a medium thin light beige head and decent lacing. The aroma is a little fruity (sour apple) with a pinch of hops. Medium-bodied and tart, with flavors of malt, molasses and sour fruit. Very little hops in the flavor or finish. As for the finish it is lightly bitter and short. Overall this beer is not very impressive. pootzboy (1779) - Kitchener, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 12, 2004
Pours a oraney-gold with a smallish head that reduces to a fine lace that stays the drink. Lightly carbonated. Aromas of sweet tangerines and pine with cooked grains. Started peppery sharp and tart but mellowed to a sweetish meduim body accented by some citrus hop balance then the finish i s dry and tart....not a bad Pale and very well put together but nothing really stands out....Mind you I’d never turn one of these down over a Sleemans. medium yellow with creamy head. some citrus taste perhaps from yeast and malt, hop punch, solid carbonation attacks tongue and stays there for aftertaste. rudolf (2360) - Buffalo, New York, USA - APR 13, 2004
English hop nose with some citrus. Very bitter when it hits the tounge, a little floral. Sweet finish. beerhugger (542) - Oshawa, Ontario, CANADA - APR 1, 2004
Fresh and citrusy and hoppy and piney - but all in limited quantities. Thin body with some mild hops and a medium bitter finish. The best thing was probably the nice amber-coppery colour, but overall a drinkable ale. Nothing outstanding but also nothing overly offensive.

Great amber color. Flavor appears to be a balance of hops and yeast. Much like other recipes from this brewery, has a destinctive flavor and feel. jercraigs (10651) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 11, 2003
TFOB. Bit less hoppy than I remember. Amber, not much head. Nicely bitter with some malt in the aroma. wnp22 (698) - Toronto (Roncesvalles Village), Ontario, CANADA - AUG 10, 2003
Tasted at TFOB. Light ale, amber colour with slight spice/fruit scent. Bitter taste and afterfinish. radiomgb (2686) - Peterborough, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 13, 2003
Light amber in colour. Aroma of apples and some hops. The flavour is slightly bitter, sticky, cloying. Fruity finish. TipsyMcStager (1139) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 30, 2003
Aroma of grasses and horseblanket, molasses. The farmyard manure stench doesn't work for me. Pours golden yellow, head minimal. Butter, feces and no hops for the taste. A terrible aftertaste. New marketing slogan: "We put a piece of crap in every bottle!"
