++Draught at European Beer Festival, Copenhagen.++ Black, small beige head. Roasty coffee aroma. Dryish and heavily roasty. Medium bodied with some dark chocolate. The mouthfeel seem to consist of a solid core with mushy edges. Some asphalt lingers in the finish. A solid porter with lots of things going for it. charlotte (5387) - rødovre, DENMARK - SEP 17, 2008

Clear dark redbrown to black color, tan head. Butterscotch, sweet malty, salty taste. Dry, butterscotch, grainy scent. Medium mouthfeel, medium bitterness.
(Draught) Almost black with a small, beige head. Sweetish-licoricey, moderately roasty aroma. Slightly sweet, nicely licoricey, smooth and pleasant flavor. Almost full body with low carbonation. Very well balanced, enjoyable and full-bodied stout, without being cloying. Grovlam (4247) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - SEP 13, 2008
[EBF @ Copenhagen, September 2008] Large thick creamy beige – brown head that really lasted. Good display of lacework. Pitch black color. Aroma came out with a hint of what could appear bitter malty, but that disappeared as the beer warmed up. Then notes of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and liquorish appeared. Quite full bodied with a soft carbonation and somewhat thick texture. Moderated to heavy sweet flavor with good burned bitterness. Bitter malty roasted finish that lingered.

Pours almost completely black with a fine, small, creamy, cappucino head. Fair retention, and settles as a thin film with okay lacing. Nice aroma, generally rather sweet. Some prunes mix with well-roasted notes and some clear sweet milk-chocolate. Fine, quite creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is nice, lots of roasted tones - especially in the long-running finish. There is plenty of chocolate in here as well, I’d just liked it to be less sweet in its first impression. Otherwise a very solid offering.
Bottle. Pours pitch black with a big, creamy light brown/greyish head. Roasted aroma with hoppy notes. Sweet, metallic flavour with a sharp roasted finish. 26-07-08. faroeviking (10913) - FAROE ISLANDS - JUL 27, 2008
Botella. Pitch black. Roasty maltiness in the aroma with chocolate, some coffee and liquorice. Great mouthfeel. The flavour has a nice soft yet profound malty roastiness with chocolate, coffee and roasty caramel. Tasty brew indeed.
