COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Editor’s note: Also known as "Nibe Old Anchor Porter". <br /> Anker Porter er en dejlig rund og kulsort porter med lysebrunt cremet skum. Caribisk sukkermelasse giver sammen med ristet malt, spændende smagsnuancer af kaffe og lakrids.

Bottle @ home. Aroma of roasted malt, milk chocolate and mild coffee, licorice and sweet alcohol. Black with tan head, mostly diminishing. Taste is moderate sweet, light+ malt bitter and with some alcohol sweetness. Medium+ body, creamy feel, soft carb., sweet malt bitter finish.

Bottle - thanks, Martin. Pours near-black with a thin espresso crema, nose is earthy with notes of toasted prune and coffee, palate is thick and sweetish at first, then drying with touches of plum, liquorice and coffee, then burnt treacle and a light dry bitterness in the finish. Very nice.

Shared by my bokkefriend. Pours kinda black with a beige lacing. Aroma of dark sweet malts, liquorice, weak coffee, caramel and very mild smoke. Taste of dark sweet malts, liquorice, weak coffee, and chocolate. Also some roast. Pretty decent porter.

Big darkish brown head. Hazy dark reddish body. Roasty mealy fruity aroma with earthy molasses notes. Sweetish roasty minty earthy taste with fruity notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish minty roasty burnt aftertaste with chocolatey earthy spicy notes. Sooty mineraly finish. Nice, drinkable, interesting. Lovely lightness to the body despite the alcohol. (0.5l bottle, from Salling, Aalborg.)

Mørk, mørk brun nesten sort med et beige skum. Skummet holdt lenge og hang fint i glassveggen. Aroma av røstet malt, lakris, kaffe, mørke frukter og hint av sjokolade. Smaken følger aroma, men litt alkohol i smaken.

Very dark brown, seems clear. Thick, creamy, tan head. Aroma had roasted malt and licorice. Hints of chocolate. Flavour has roasted malt bitterness, raw licorice. Carb is low, feel is smooth and creamy.

Pours a deep brown coca cola-like body with a large, light-brown head that laces the glass well. Dry, roasted, moderate aroma of coffee, ash, yeast and faint fruits. Strong flavour, again roasted notes, coffee and ash with lovely dark berries. Moderate to light sweet taste with a moderate bitter finish. Pleasant mouthfeel with a medium body and soft carbonation. A nice porter indeed!
