On [email protected]: Prune juice brown with a wisp of off-white foam. Sweet dark fruit aroma. Flavor starts cherry sweet like a cherry cough drop followed by some light spice and a sweet fruity finish. Medium bodied and smooth with soft carbonation.

Nutty. Rich. Carmel mixed with some hops. I stayed in the La Chouffe room in a hotel in Oostend. The bar had two giant gnomes for taps. I like this beer.

JK (6146) - St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA - NOV 25, 2006
2006. I have yet to be disappointed by a Dachouffe beer. This is sweet and malty. There is lightly fruit and a solid base of sweet malt with the hops no where to be found. It might best be described as a classic Belgian strong; it doesn’t try to push any boundaries or make you think too hard. Dark brown and medium carbonation.

beermouth (435) - Langeskov, DENMARK - NOV 25, 2006
(2005)Deep, intens amber with reddish notes and a nice rocky offwhite head. Fruit, dried fruit, yeast, herbal, caramel and spice. Nice balance and body.

This beer was nice, it just lacked body, the alcohol was up there, but just felt watery on the palate which really took away the character of the beer. Light brown/copper in color, very clear, with a thin white head. Honey and caramel in the nose and a lightly spicy finish. Just to thin for my tastes.
