A perfect Belgian Christmas ale. Pours a dark red brown colour with little head. Aroma is faint, malty, sweet and refreshingly citrusy. Flavour: big body, very sweet, extremely malty, definite orange flavour, refreshing and surprisingly bitter and quite hoppy. Finish is not too long, warming and bitter-citrusy. Excellent easy drinking ale!

Bottle, 0.33l. Hazy, dark ruby/brown pour with one finger creamy beige head. Below average retention, leaving thin layer throughout the whole drink. Decent lacing on the glass. Typical nose for the style, yeasty, floral. Touch of caramel. Medium body, somewhat highly carbonated. Creamy texture. Boozy bittersweet taste and mouthfeel. High presence of alcohol in the aroma. Boozy. Caramel, toffee. Floral and herbal. Pretty good, but overshadowed by strong alcohol presence. Dry finish with burning sensation on the tongue. Overall, not bad. Strong alcohol presence ruins it a bit.

Wintertime is beertime, and this brew is another testimony to that statement. Yes it is pretty sweet and syrupy, but you just cant ignore it. Hides it alcohol pretty well up until the aftertaste.

Very dark but clear, ruby colour, weak head. Smell is caramel and cumin, bit of liquorice and bubblegum. Hint of mint and spruce. Lightly alcoholic, warming. Taste is watery bit full and sweet to start with, with a lightly astringent finish. Light bitterness.
