Dark brown with red tones, yellowbrown long lasting foam. Aroma is dark fruits, toffee, some brown sugar, vanilla, alcohol pushing through. Taste is sweet, though some bitterness can be sensed and the finish is dominated of the dried dark fruits. A hint of roasted tones and some chocolate adds to the complexity among others. Changes character with temperature and should be an interesting beer to let to be matured in the cellar. I like this but not as over the top as I had expected from this because I was so overwhelmed by the Houblon that is a top notch world class beer.

UPDATED: DEC 24, 2016 Flaska systembolaget 75 cl. Brun kulör. Kryddig doft av jul och äpple. Liknande i smak. Knäck, äpplemos, bananskum och julkryddor. Söt med värmande alkohol.

Aromat lekko przyprawowy, słodki z nutami palonego karmelu. W smaku lekka słodycz, karmel, spalona skórka chleba. Finisz wytrawny wyraźnie i ordynarnie alkoholowy.

Copenhagen 22/12 2016. 75 cl bottle from Meny. Two small Gnomes enjoying a small fire on the label. Looks kinda cold so you can understand that they look pretty content. Pours clear very dark brown with white head. Settles as patchy and thin layer of foam. Aroma is sweet. Fermented dark fruit, brown sugar and alcohol. Soft carbonation and surprisingly thin palate. I expected Bunker Fuel but I only got medium thick palate. Flavor is heavy sweet and sugary. Almost no bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and kinda spicy. Too much on the sweet and sugary side for me - bu i must admit it hides it’s brutal ABV quite well.

Blind bij Mark een 3.4 gegeven. Wat teveel carbo. Zoet. Wel aardig lekker maar niet helemaal mijn stijl.

Dark fruits, spices, caramel in nose. Pours reddish brown with white head. Taste is medium sweet with caramel, fruits, spices. Low bitter finish, fizzy carbo, well hidden alcohol. Overall good.
