UPDATED: OCT 28, 2017 good beer all over. bit dissapointed in the head retention though. no roast flavours, nice herbal tones. pours dark brown with medium carbonation and light beige head. CraftyHare (131) - Adelaide, AUSTRALIA - OCT 27, 2017
330ml bottle pours deep brown with foamy tan head. Sweet aromas of brown sugar, toffee, stone fruit and yeast. Tastes of dark fruit, cherry, caramel malt, butter, molasses, roasted malt, bready yeast and spices. The 10% alc vol has a little bite and some porty notes, but is masked by the layered flavours and sweetness. Long finish with mild bitterness. Big, bold, dark Belgian Strong Ale. A regular in my fridge! kathouse (1942) - LAS VEGAS, Nevada, USA - OCT 21, 2017
Lots of caramel and candied fruit from this amber beauty. The flavor and finish hide the alcohol well. Michael27 (2439) - Berlin, GERMANY - SEP 9, 2017
Aus der Flasche getrunken (Händlerlieferung). Braun mit viel Schaum im Glas. Malzig. Gewürznoten überdecken den Alkohol. Wärmt wirklich. alex_leit (5316) - Minsk, BELARUS - AUG 31, 2017

33cl bottle. 02/2018 best by date. Appearance: Deep brown and nearly opaque, with light amber undertones, and a minimal off white foam head
Aroma: Toffee, raisin, and bread crust prominent, with a touch of herbal hoppiness
Taste: Rich malt sweetness, bread crust, caramel, toffee, and a touch of roast, with a touch of orange peel, raisin, and cinnamon. A touch of oxidized cardboard as well. Bitterness just enough to counter the rich maltiness.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a low carbonation. No discernible alcohol warmth for a beer of this strength.
Finish: Spiced raisin and toffee remains. Fairly dry.
Overall: A citrusy and peel bittered take on a quad. Nice rich malt sweetness with the typical bread crust, raisin, and toffee. Low bitterness, and indiscernible alcohol warmth. Fairly easy to drink for a beer of this intensity. Myonlyvice (366) - DENMARK - JUL 30, 2017
Brown with an off white head. Aroma of dark caramell, yeast, dark fruit and malt. Sweet with low bitterness and a bit of sourness. Pintofjoe29 (62) - Dingman Ferry, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 25, 2017
Pours a ruby brown with a small head. Not much lacing. Aroma of candied dark fruits, malts, and alcohol. The aroma doesnt emanate from the glass like other offerings of the same type do unfortunately. Tastes like sticky caramel and dark fruits. Booze well integrated. A winter ale i could enjoy any time of year emincems (127) - TURKEY - JUN 22, 2017
