Nice malt aroma. Dark brown colour with excellent head. Light malt flavour with smooth warm finish. Heavy body with low to medium carbonation. ctiry (116) - CZECH REPUBLIC - NOV 30, 2014
Brown colour with off-white head. Nice malt in the nose with hints of fruits. The taste just got me. Full body with caramel maltiness and fruity notes. The alc. is very well hiddeb not behind bitterness not behind too much sweetess. It is soooo well balanced. For me the best beer from DM family (exlc Omgng and Blvrd which I did not have a chance to try yet...) Reimer96 (1743) - Alberta, CANADA - DEC 25, 2015
A classic winter warmer... Love the Belgian characteristics with the light balance and flavor of thyme and bitter Curacao peel... Overall pound for pound it doesn’t get much better than this. Dacrza (961) - Great Meadows, New Jersey, USA - DEC 29, 2015
DATE TASTED: December 29, 2015... GLASSWARE: Chimay goblet...OCCASION: basking in the afterglow of The Force Awakens with a beer that has some force of its own... APPEARANCE: dark ruby brown body that reveals none of its contents... the thick, creamy brown head resembles the head of mousse, with thick bubbles wreathing the glass...a thick shade follows its crest... AROMA: ginger, anise, pepper, and vanilla roil in the citrus and pear... small hits of toasted malts work their way in--raisin and currants lastly ... PALATE: creamy, active at the throat, and long-lasting in its finish--one that coats and resounds... shockingly sippable and worth holding in the mouth, with a pleasant, almost softened cola consistency... TASTE: a light grape, vinous sauvignon , with mellow anise, malt, and dry hops that suggest orange and earthy roots...figs and dates, yes sir... slightly sour, with some fermentation making the experience a bit more complex... ...OVERALL: in a run of great strong beers--see Southern Tier’s 2xmas and Corsendonk’s Christmas Ale--Nice more than holds its own, it owns...as drinkable a weighty beer as one finds, with complexity and enjoyability coupling easily... had this a long time ago, then on a St Patty’s Day crawl in State College on tap--and the search was over at The Hop and Vine....one bottle, and one is feeling good... Bottle at home on Christmas Day. Firm yeasty body. Malt sweetness with festive spices. Strong, rich and very tasty. Top notch.

Bottiglia da 33cl...birra di un mareone scuro, non troppo torbida, schiuma di color nocciola, molto persistente e vaporosa. All olfatto si coglie subito la fragranza di erbe fresche, al palato fesca ma decisa grazie al grado alcolemico elevato. Alla fine bella amara. CzechTex (160) - - FEB 6, 2016
On tap, Beergeek, Praha. Seasonal beer only available until mid- February! I need to hurry! Very deep brown color, low foam left nice lacing. Stronger than it feels, one is probably enough. I’m happy I caught it just in time, will look for it again next winter! TheBeerUnited (51) - - AUG 1, 2016
UPDATED: AUG 1, 2016 Bottle from head of steam Leeds. Poured into chouffe tulip. Murky brown with tan white head and chocolate looking speckles scattered across. Aroma of sweet malt, coffee, toffee and dried fruit. Taste is heavily dominated by sweet malt. Subsiding notes of raisin and plum abashed by the warm boozyness. Finish is throat meltingly warm. A real winter warmer. holdleder (366) - Kongerslev, DENMARK - DEC 17, 2016
