I really enjoyed this. Big malty flavor with hints of vanilla and caramel. Very smooth long finish. Probably my favorite winter beer. Dogbrick (13789) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JAN 2, 2003
This was my New Year's Eve beer, served in a champagne glass of course. A pretty good way to end the year! Pours a dark reddish-brown with a medium thin light beige head. Lacing is pretty good. Aroma of herbs and berries. Flavor is a rich medley of fruit, alcohol and a little malt. Very good! bierkoning (13689) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - JAN 25, 2003
Big foamy head. Beautiful ruby dark color. Aroma has coffee and licorice. Malty flavor with lots of licorice and cinnamon. Strong alcohol burn. Long licorice and cinnamon finish. A very nice beer with just a bit too much herbs. RichardGretton (4788) - Leicestershire, ENGLAND - MAR 12, 2003
Browny orange beer with a hefty head. A very vineous aroma and a very vineeous flavour with a bitter dry tinge. A good beer overall. BrianO (138) - Ambler, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 27, 2003
Pours a dirty amber with a thick foamy head that held nicely and left a nice lacing. Some yeasty floaties in there but to be expected. Aroma is sweet, fruity, and malty with a hint of alcohol. Flavor is pretty much the same. Very warming brew @ 10% and very drinkable.
Good brew. Although pricy, but what else is new.

2003. Dark plum with a full, lacing head. The aroma is fruity, malty and alcoholic. Orange, cherry, alcohol, caramel, varied spices and candi sugar. A nice, full mouthfeel. The flavor is fairly strong with fruit, alcohol and spice (in that order) taking over. Who brews beer with Thyme? Probably a lot of people, but this is new to me, despite having a '99 bottle two years ago. Very interesting and really quite tasty. I wish they had another when I purchase so I could lay it down and experience aged N'Ice again. Eyedrinkale (3235) - Astoria, New York, USA - NOV 18, 2004
Tap @ Blind Tiger. Almost red in color with hardly a head (6 oz serving). Aroma is fruity, malty and sweet. Taste is some dried fruits, cinamon & pepper and malt. Not too sweet, balanced and medium bodied. Interesting and complex. zathrus13 (1776) - Mount Laurel, New Jersey, USA - NOV 26, 2004
Brown color, with a rather large, tan head. Aroma is fruity, with banana, spice and malt. Flavor starts out sweet, with dark fruit and spice coming thru the most. There is hops there as well. Aging may help this one. robertsreality (2460) - Minnesota, USA - DEC 7, 2004
Dark Dark Red Coloring With Brown/Sandy Bubbly Head. Fruity..Bread Dough Aroma... Malt Flavor...Fruit, Bread Dough...A Little Harsh on The Winter Spices...Ends Dry on the Back of Your Throat. Certainly Enjoyable...But Not One I’d Run Back For Again. Jayb0 (1218) - Cherry Hill, New Jersey, USA - JAN 4, 2005
A very pleasant beer with a smooth, creamy but lively body. Spicy, warm finish.
