Cask Days 2013. Pours a murky brown with a tan, bubbly head.
Aroma has notes of bourbon, and not a lot else. Not bad, but i can’t get much else.
Taste is sweet with a malty, sweet aftertaste.
Medium body with a low-medium carbonation. Very syrupy mouth feel.
Overall not my thing. Sweet and syrupy with a tinge of tart.
November 5, 2013 - at Bar Hop - on draught. Full pour. Eek. Hazy brownish pour with a lasting foamy tan head. Aroma is spice, orange peel, alcohol and huge bourbon - not a shy one (8-). Taste follows but less bourbon and strong shart spice, and burnt orange peel with oak - strong but okay alcohol level. Thick, slick, astringent, strong carbonation, boozy in the tail, finishes eye-dryingly boozy. I almost liked it! On tap at Bar Hop. Light copper with a thin creamy head. Quite sweet, tannin, spiced, bourbon, boozy, oak, low carbonation and full body, becomes slightly bitter and warming on the palate with a hint of tartness and more bourbon. holychuckd (1) - Ontario, CANADA - MAY 19, 2015 does not count

Pours a muddy brown, thin creamy white head. Aroma is like raisin toast, with a little vanilla. Flavor is a mix of bourbon and sour malt I dont think the sour is intentional, but it kinda works. Medium body medium carbonation.

Bottle shared by ferris. Here are my notes: Clear, ruby. Medicinal. Prob shouldn’t rate this ... until tomorrow. And now it’s tomorrow. Medicinal and floral; fruity, and a sort of nondescript "caramelized sugar sweetness." texture is oily and full bodied. Overall: Not that great, but fun to try. I’d never heard of these folks. 750 mL bottle. Drank at a little over 1 year old. Hazy walnut brown with a thin head of beige foam. Big bourbon on the nose, but much less evident in the taste. Bready malt, caramel, roasted nuts, vanilla and what seems like some mild lacto tones. Gently sweet with a lightness to the finish that makes me think theres some tartness trying to break through all that sugar. Probably not intentionally sour. [5937-20131019] Cask. Barrel oaked sweetened malt aroma. Hazy, dark brown amber body with no lasting head. Super sweet oaked boozy malt flavour has a long sweet boozy maple syrup aftertaste. Full body. Good, quite powerful but also balanced. (7/3/7/3/14) 3.4
