COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bourbon barrel aged imperial stout on coffee beans. Café del Bastardo is the culmination of our friendship with Tamp Coffee Co. and our love of Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout. An infusion of whole coffee beans into our Kentucky Bastard barrels brings a new member to the Bastard family. This intensely aromatic beer displays bright coffee, bourbon, vanilla and malty chocolate-coffee notes followed by warming alcohol. Enjoy fresh for the fullest expression of the coffee’s subtlety, or cellar and mellow for years to come.

This brew pours black with some brown around the edges and a medium foamy tan head that diminishes gradually to a film. Patches of lace. The aroma consists of bourbon, coffee and roast malt. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky bourbon, roasted coffee, malt and a bit of hops. The finish is oaky with a bourbon and malt aftertaste. Good beer all around.

Deep black pour with a thick brown head. The aroma is amazing. Really intense coffee and cooked plum and date character. There's a rich unctuous note to the aroma that is really interesting. Flavour is fantastic. Loads of coffee and dark cocoa over a sticky malt backbone. Intensely rich and chewy. Really has great integration of flavours. Some vanilla and cocoa over a really sticky backbone. Warming and slightly boozy but it's like drinking an incredible Imperial Stout mixed with figgy pudding and espresso. Amazing.

From a 750 ml bottle. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma bourbon and oak. Flavors are very boozy, with plenty of sweet molasses. A bit over the top but still a nice barrel aged beer.

Rich dark brown/black color; Heavy creamy body; Aroma of toasted malt, oak, vanilla, rich coffee beans, dark chocolate, & some bourbon; Flavor of roasted sweet malt, vanilla, caramel, rich coffee/espresso, dark chocolate, some hops, and bourbon; Warm finish; Considering the abv, it’s fairly well hidden; Very nicely balanced & complex; Awesome brew.
