COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We brewed our Nickel Brook Maple Porter to be first and foremost, a robust and full bodied porter, using premium roasted and pale malts. We then infuse pure, dark Canadian maple syrup into the brewing process, so the maple essence becomes integrated during fermentation. The result is a truly wonderful and complex mixture of roast you desire in a robust porter, with background hints of maple flavour and aroma. No additive or preservatives. Naturally carbonated for a smooth, creamy finish.Nickel Brook Maple Porter is a unique Canadian interpretation of a timeless classic!

Well I just wrote my review for Nickel Brooks Green Apple Pilsner so its nice to arrive at my favourite beer by this brewery. Heres what I think: This is not a complex beer whatsoever. Its porter and maple syrup and thats all you taste, really. But the flavours magically infuse and make a slight stickiness that just works. Its probably the best uncomplex beer Ive ever had. Beautiful appearance, too. It would be nice to see this style become popular in Canada.

Dark brown pour. Light maple taste and aroma, not much else though, not bad

473 ml can. Black, with a thick tan head. Sweet aroma of coffee, roasted malt and maple syrup. The flavour is roasted malty, with cocoa, sweetish maple syrup notes, a little coffee, and a mildly bitter roasted finish. A bit thin on the palate but otherwise OK.

Pours a very thick amount of creamy brownish head and has a dark brown appearance. Leaves a thin layer. Nick dirty lacing. Aromas are mainly toasty and nutty malts with a bit of spiced hops, not much else. Flavours of sweets, like caramel, toffee and the ever present maple, but not too overpowering, making it well blended and balanced. Fairly mild overall, not much bitterness. Some nuttiness in the mix. Mouthfeel is pretty slick and has a slightly warming sensation. Smoothness on the palate and real easy going down. Overall, not as much punch as expected with the maple taking somewhat of a backseat. Still pretty damn good.

W aromacie dominujący syrop klonowy, skrka razowego chleba i mid. W smaku jednak wodniste, płytkie, karmelowe. Goryczka niska.

Location: 16 oz can purchased at Andersons Sawmill Appearance: Darker black brown with a fine head of brown bubbles. Nose: Coffee with a hint of maple syrup. Taste: Dark chocolate cocoa with maple, but just a hint. Body: lighter to medium without significant texture Parting thoughts: Barely a maple anything. if it wasnt on the label, itd be a bit hard to nail down that was the additional flavor.

Jet black pour with a big tan cap. Nose is all maple and burnt toast. Its a bit on the sweet side, a touch watery, but I still dig this stuff. Am I the only one who gets randomly itchy when I cant sleep?

16 oz can. Pours black with a tan head. Rich creamy coffee and dark cocoa aroma, with a sweetness to it. Flavor is roasty dark cocoa and coffee with anise notes. A bit of maple in the finish, though I wouldnt pick it out without it being in the name. Pretty tasty.

Cannette 473 ml. Couleur brune, mousse beige. Arme de chocolat noir et malt. En bouche, trop de chocolat malt, pas vraiment drable, assez mince, notes de chocolat et base malte. Ya qqch qui drange. Correct.
