COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We brewed our Nickel Brook Maple Porter to be first and foremost, a robust and full bodied porter, using premium roasted and pale malts. We then infuse pure, dark Canadian maple syrup into the brewing process, so the maple essence becomes integrated during fermentation. The result is a truly wonderful and complex mixture of roast you desire in a robust porter, with background hints of maple flavour and aroma. No additive or preservatives. Naturally carbonated for a smooth, creamy finish.Nickel Brook Maple Porter is a unique Canadian interpretation of a timeless classic!

This porter poured a deep brown colour with a lacking, soapy head. Even after a vigorous pour... very little head. To the nose nose there are scents of molassass, light smoke, Melloids cough candies and brown sugar. First sip had a thin mouthfeel with flavours of smoke, burnt malt and spoiled maple. Finish is sweet and smokey. This is like most Nickel Brook beer, seriously lacking.

Pours black with a decent tan head. Aroma is roasted malt and coffee. Taste is a little sweet and a little bitter with notes of chocolate, coffee, woody maple, and roasted malt contributing to the overall impression of chocolate cake. A very unique brew with all flavours very well integrated. My only complaint is it’s a bit heavy.

cask at Beerlinale, Barcelona Clean, brown, stable head. Aroma: roasted, malty, coffee. Taste: light sweetness and light acidity. Low carbonation, sliky body. Flavour: more roasted, then burned, cold coffee, chocolate cake. Good and smooth.

Pours a black color with a light tan head. Aroma is smoky with chocolate, roasted malts, and some maple. Flavor want quite as good. Smoky up front but watery on the finish. After taste of the roasted malts and chocolate.

Dark brown, nearly black pour - small but persistent tan head. Fairly mild aroma - some coffee, roastiness, baked sweetness. Taste is medium-bodied porter - brown sugar, chocolate, faint leafy hop in the finish. Pretty smooth in the mouth but rather sticky. Pretty good.

Canned. The body is almost black with a small brown head. The aroma has chocolate, coffee, and syrup. The taste has maple syrup and molasses.

Dark brown pour. Light maple taste and aroma, not much else though, not bad

473 ml can. Black, with a thick tan head. Sweet aroma of coffee, roasted malt and maple syrup. The flavour is roasted malty, with cocoa, sweetish maple syrup notes, a little coffee, and a mildly bitter roasted finish. A bit thin on the palate but otherwise OK.

Pours a very thick amount of creamy brownish head and has a dark brown appearance. Leaves a thin layer. Nick dirty lacing. Aromas are mainly toasty and nutty malts with a bit of spiced hops, not much else. Flavours of sweets, like caramel, toffee and the ever present maple, but not too overpowering, making it well blended and balanced. Fairly mild overall, not much bitterness. Some nuttiness in the mix. Mouthfeel is pretty slick and has a slightly warming sensation. Smoothness on the palate and real easy going down. Overall, not as much punch as expected with the maple taking somewhat of a backseat. Still pretty damn good.

W aromacie dominujący syrop klonowy, skórka razowego chleba i miód. W smaku jednak wodniste, płytkie, karmelowe. Goryczka niska.
